there is no "right" answer...it completely depends on your settings, the apps you are using, if you have "live wallpaper", etc. It DOES have a battery saver option...I use it on 4G while on the go, and I am guessing I get about 6 hrs ??

The battery life under "normal" usage is about 24hrs.
* Normal usage meaning neither heavy nor light * The advantage about owning this phone is that you can swap batteries easily since you can open the back and replace it in a snap.

I am getting about 9 hours with a lot of Pandora streaming and web browsing. I get up to 15 hours if I have the screen on for shorter periods. The large bright screen is what uses most of the power, so if you are watching Netflix movies or playing games all day, the battery life will be pretty short.

On the plus side, it has an easy to swap battery, so you can get additional batteries for it, or a giant extended battery that lasts 2 days.

I can tell you that it lasts all day. I charge my phone every night but it has never died on me yet prior to charging it. I never could use a prior phone all day without charging it. Even when I was setting it up and using it continuously for most of the day, it was still going strong. I think the battery life is great for a smartphone.

I send about 150 texts a day, check Facebook often and check many other apps. I take my phone off the charger at 5 am and at 9 at night I still have about 27% to 35% left

You can use KIES AIR to sync your phone with your I-tunes thru your computer and wifi connection. But, no you can not get itunes directly on an android device OF ANY KIND. BTW, anything that you bought on itunes can be transferred to an android device EXCEPT APPS, movies and music as well as pictures can be synced with it.

On AT&T you only have the option of a 16GB version. The phone has a microSD card slot that can take up to 64GB...so you could potentially have 80GB of storage space on the S3

Yes this phone requires a data plan. If you do any kind of music & video streaming, email checking, uploading of pictures, etc you will most certainly want a data plan. That being said, you can opt for a cheaper data plan and make sure you connect to WiFi wherever you are so that you don't go over your monthly allotment

Yes all smartphones require a data plan.
But if you add a line $9.99 at&t, you can remove the data plan from your old smartphone and just pay for one a month. That's what I did to buy the new S3

Here is another honest answer! I owned the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket for about 2 weeks before returning it and get the new SGSIII.
The S3 is supposed to be better since it has a faster processor and comes with 2 GB of memory (Skyrocket has a slower processor and only 1GB of memory). SGS3 comes with IceCream Sandwich while Skyrocket comes with HoneyComb. The Samsung galaxy S3 comes with other features but most of them I will consider a "gimmick" like the camera looking at you and keeping the phone screen on....It does not always work ....believe me! or the feature that allows you to multitask by moving a playing movie around...well this does not work with movies from Youtube or Netflix it is only when playing locally recorded movies. I discovered that the Musc player in honeycomb is more stable then that one on Icecream Sandwich.

The S3 has a slew of new software tweaks, features and gestures which add to the user experience and make it superior to the S2 skyrocket.

Skyrocket is a smaller screen and is on the older Android Gingerbread software. Both phones are fast LTE cell data.

I wouldn't go into a new 2 yr contract with a Skyrocket because Samsung rarely if ever updates the software. Besides the skyrocket is still $99 versus $199 for the S3 and it's a superior product

The S3 you get 2x the RAM then the Sky Rocket. You also get a true HD 720p display on the S3. The CPU is also better on the S3 vs the S2. Screen Size is bigger on the S3.

There are several differences between the SAMSUNG GALAXY SKYROCKET S11 AND THE Galaxy S3. I cover the major ones here. I won’t get too technical but if you don’t understand some of the terms, please look them up. First, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is the newest of both phones and it is probably (at the time of this writing) the best Android phone on the market. The Samsung Galaxy S3 has a super AMOLDED HD screen while the Samsung Galaxy Skyrocket has a lesser super AMOLDED Display Resolution of 800x480 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy S3 has a bigger screen size at 4.8" and the Samsung Galaxy Skyrocket has a screen size of 4.5". The Samsung Galaxy S3 has the newest Android platform (ICS) and the Samsung Galaxy Skyrocket uses the older Android 2.3.5, Gingerbread platform. The Samsung Galaxy S3 has additional, newer communication features such as PIP while emailing or texting and better NFC & sharing features than the Samsung Galaxy Skyrocket. The Camera
Very important to media junkies who want high quality picture and video capture options. Once again the Galaxy S3 is much better in this field. The S2 sports a 8 megapixel camera with 3264×2448 pixels and with 1080p HD video capture, as well as a secondary 2 MP camera for video calling. The camera of the S3 is still hidden in a veil of mysteries and rumors, but it will probably be a 12 MP camera with 4000×3000 pixels and of course 1080p HD video capture. The Battery
