Can I switch the operating system to Windows 7?

I prefer Windows 7 to Windows 8. Could I get this computer with Windows 7?

It may be possible to change operating systems, but Samsung would not be able to assist with OS downgrades. We recommend using Windows 8 with this model.

Wi-Fi is available on this model. Hard-wired connections with dongles are not possible with this model.

No this model does not have a built-in DVD player.

NDAS Server

With my WinXP and Win7 desktops I can access a NDAS server for file storage. If I use Chrome at home can I also access my NDAS server.

I need to install software for the NDAS drives to be seen. Can I install the software (from ximeta.com) and will Chrome allow server access?

Its okay if Chromebook is not compatible, but I need to know before I make the purchase.

It would depend if the software from ximeta.com supported the Chrome OS.

That would be an answer best addressed by them.

The UN50ED5300 has Wi-Fi built in. The AllShare connection, which allows you to stream video and music from your laptop to your television, is for PC only. There may be other ways to share your computer's content on the TV, but it may require additional hardware or software - or a direct connection to the television.

Does this tablet have Chinese langauge?

As a matter of fact, the Android OS will support several different Chinese language packs. To change the language of the Tab, first enter the Tab's "Settings", then tap on "Language and Input". Once there, you can select from a number of different languages available on the Tab.
