Some ODD Fiber Phone services seem to send CALLER ID TIME as England GMT, not converting it into your LOCAL time zone. This badly messes up the PHONE's CLOCK and sometimes your set DATE. There is no setting to IGNORE DATE TIME from phone company sending out nonsense time not in your TIME ZONE. I am keeping phone as I enjoy features like Speakerphone. Maybe Optimum Fiber (Cable TV) will send correct CALLER ID from my TIME ZONE. Worked fine on Verizon (a Phone Company) lines.
This is model CL4940. It comes with an abridged user's manual which recommends referring to the complete manual at www.telephones.att.com/manuals. This is probably the best place to find answers to all questions of this type. Hope this helps with your decision on purchasing this phone.
Greetings! I would say yes. I have this same telephone hooked up to an external answering machine and have the actual answering machine installed on the phone turned to off.
I purchased this phone for the same reason. The facility uses Spectrum cable network, I was told it would work but I had to purchase a DSL filter separately. It was less than $10 with Amazon.
It is NOT a 12 volt adapter, it is a 6 volts. the model supplies is a "VTPL switching power supply, model: vt04uuso6040." Plenty of used adaptors available on EBay, want new try Amazon.
