I am a female, 130 pounds and was nervous this would be too big .I was able to adjust it and it fits snug now. Do not let the M-XXL fool you. Just a quick adjustment and you are good to go

No. One size fits all. It's really long elastic band wrapped around metal loop, not uncomfortable in any way. My sister in law is sz small & it fits her fine, I'm sz medium-large & I have a good foot or more of elastic I could loosen. Best way to describe it is like shoulder bra strap , the way you tighten/loosen it.

There is a XS-S size that is available for people who are more petite in size. There is also a XXXL(strap only, no transmitter) that is available as a separate accessory as well. Mike@ Polar USA

I use it with endomondo app and works perfect. But I don't Think the caloríes count depends on the heart rate. The app gives me the work zones, wich is better info that the calories Burned.

Depending on your body shape it may or may not work while swimming. Most swimmer body types no, it has a tendency to slip off after a flip turn.
