Yes it works with windows 7, 8, & 8.1. I have tried it with all 3. I Bought the screen when I was updating for 7 to 8 and the 8.1 and tried it with all 3.
The touch screen has a cable that connects from your monitor to your usb plug in on your computer. Do you have it plugged in. Note this is not the video cable. You will have 2 connection wires plus your power cord.
I want to mount the monitor on a desk using a desk mount. The plastic strip simply gets in the way when used with a desk or a wall mount so I want to remove it. Thanks.
Yes, the back of it has a spot for 100x100 vesa mount. I have it attached to a monitor arm so I can place it closer to horizontal, suspended over my keyboard when I play touch games.
I have this monitor and another connected to both an xp and windows 8. I use it as the second monitor for windows xp with a mouse. I use as a touch screen with windows 8. I have not tried the touch screen with XP.
