The specs say Windows 8 but is it really RT, I'll buy it if it is truly windows 8 . Will a full version of Microsoft office install on this I need to be able to use macros in my spreadsheets.
This tablet is using a Intel Atom processor so it will be using the full Windows 8. Windows RT is used on tablets with an ARM processor (such as NVIDIA Tegra 3 or Snapdragon). As it has Windows 8 you can install a full version of office. Office is included with RT, but with macros disabled.
Does it have Angry birds in it? I do not see what else it will be used for since there is no apps ready to run on this platform. Does it capable to run Visual Studio and IIS?
Angry Birds space is currently available on the App Store for download for 4.99... there's no certainty whether the other versions will be available on windows 8...
Yes it will. There is a button next to the power button that will turn on/off autorotate. It does it both in the Windows live tiles and in desktop mode. I work for Intel and have been using my ATIV tablet for 2 weeks. It takes a little learning, but once you get used to it, it's nice having a full Windows 8 experience on a tablet. #IntelTablets
Hey! This is Scott J from Intel. Yes, the screen display will move with you (it will change portrait/landscape based on how your holding it). Alternatively, you can choose to lock the screen position if you do not want it to turn - typically when I'm reading something while laying down I'll lock it so it doesn't spin.
yes, windows 8 has its own app store that has a bunch of apps and games you can download, but it also lets you install all your windows pc programs and games as well, so the full version of Office will definitely install and work perfectly fine.
I want to use it to hook up to a projector for PowerPoint. I tried the Eclipse SEE2 UV150 and it doesn't work with tablets (manufacturer told me in support call)
No USB to VGA, but there are lots of options with the HDMI port. HDMI to VGA. HDMI to DVI. HDMI to Composite. HDMI to Component. HDMI-HDMI, which should work with a relatively recent projector.
