Exactly how many dishes can fit in this washer? I see that it says 6 place settings, but I'm not exactly clear what that means. 6 plates, cups, bowls and silverware?
It's kind of small. My plates won't even stand up vertically the way it's shown, and my plates are pretty standard. I would say if you want it to fit more than dishes created by 3-4 people eating (plates, salad plates, silverware and cups) I would look elsewhere.
Hello, the capacity is for 6 place settings, meaning 6 plates, cups, bowls and silverware, you can see the picture of a fully loaded unit on the following link:
I have this dishwasher and love it, but unfortunately it does not reach from the counter we have it on in the kitchen. I originally bought a rolling cart to leave it on, but it was taking up too much space with the dishwasher on it so I now haul the dishwasher onto the cart whenever I want to use it. I would rather have an extender from the dishwasher to the sink if possible.
The tubing included is pretty generic water tubing and it does come off of the adapter. I would remove the tubing and take it to Home Depot as they should be able to find you what you need. The only thing I would watch out for is if the tubing is too long on the counter, it may have trouble draining and could create a back-flow into the dishwasher. If your dishwasher stays consistently wet, you can have bacteria buildup or rust occur.
Hello Trina, as Iong as the dishes follow the guidelines of the manual then they should be ok for cleaning in the dishwasher. To check the manual please click on the following link: http://www.danby.com/cms/documents/pdfs/en/DDW611WLED_EFOM_%28DM%29_Revised_Jan.28.11.pdf
To the left of my sink I have a front loading washing machine and was wanting to make sure it will be OK to place the dishwasher on top with a rubber backed carpet placed on top of washer for protection.
The DDW611WLED tap adapter needs to be able to screw into the threaded section at the end of your faucet's aerator. The aerator is the screen piece that sits at the end of your faucet. You should be able to remove the aerator to find the threads.
If you are unsure if your faucet supports the adapter, please take the brand of faucet to your nearest hardware store and they should be able to confirm if the model will support any sort of an adapter.
We're getting a second dishwasher--I'd like to put this Danby small one on top of the Kenmore rolling one. Will the same tap adaptor work for both? Is there a picture available of the Danby adaptor? Thx
