Although I am sure the Tab 2 will be able to handle any school related material, I would have to refer you back to your educational institution for more information on exactly what apps and what hardware will be compatible with their specific systems. Unfortunately, I will not have any information in regards to what each school will be using for textbook reading or course work authoring.

At this time, the Android OS will no longer natively support FLASH (this is specific to the OS and not the Samsung products).

Audio books are usually prerecorded, so the Tab would not be responsive for having to read out the audio book itself. However, if you would like the Tab to read a regular e-book out loud, there are apps on the Google Play Store that should be able to provide this functionality.
