In short, yes it is worth it. If you already know the difference between the two then I apologize for repeating what you already know, but the 120hz/60hz refers the refresh rate of the picture. In other words, a TV with 60hz refreshes the picture 60 times every second. 120hz is double that, resulting in a clearer picture as you are seeing more "frames" per second. The result is a less blurry picture. However, most channels broadcast at 60hz, so whatever broadcast the TV is receiving is what is going to show on the TV. (full disclosure, I may not be exactly correct on that, but I know that's the gist of it). But a blu ray on a 120hz TV will look far superior to that on a on a 60hz. Hope this helps you!
