The Nikon - AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Standard Lens is great for wide angle and portrait shots. This lens is equipped with an autofocus motor that will allow autofocusing on the D3000.
Yes it is. The lens will work on any body that has a focusing driver. There is no focus motor in the lens, which saves on weight and cost. It can only be used on the D7000, D300, D300s, and all of the FX bodies like the D3 and D3x.
The Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D lens is a compact FX-format lens that is completely compatible with the Nikon D750 FX-format DSLR, which is a full-frame camera. This full-frame lens offers natural image rendering and exceptional sharpness for consistently stunning images on both FX-format and DX-format cameras.

The AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Lens (Product 2137) can be used on the D3400 but only in Manual shooting mode. This lens will not autofocus on the D3400 and the camera's metering system and i-TTL flash control will also not be available. An AF-S or AF-P G-type lens would be a better choice for the D3400. If you are looking for a fast prime lens for the D3400 consider the AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G Lens (Product 2183) or the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Standard Lens (Product 2199).
The AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Lens will not autofocus on the D3200 but is otherwise compatible. Lenses with the AF-S designation will autofocus on the D3200 - for example check out the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Lens.
I've got a d3300 and the lens works great. However, it is full manual so if you are looking for auto focus you won't get it with any 3000 series camera
The AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D lens will operate on the D3200 however there will be limitations with this lens such as auto focus. The lens does not have an autofocus motor and the camera will not be able to autofocus.
