I will be making breads, pizza doughs, etc at times, not too often though.....will the 275 Watt motor suffice or SHOULD I get the more powerful 300 watt?There is a $50 price difference for the extra 25 Watts, so I would love an honest answer here..thanks!

The Kitchenaid Classic 275 Watt Motor does just fine with making dough for bread or pizza. I believe that you will be very happy as I am with the Classic Mixer. I have not had any issues with the motor size. And you can take your extra money to purchase some other interesting attachments! Happy Cooking :)7 years, 11 months ago

I have the 275 Watt model and make homemade biscuits all the time. I would say the consistency of the dough would be comparable to pizza dough, so I would think you would be fine with the 275 Watt.8 years, 3 months ago

Honestly I don't think it's worth it. I have the 275 watt and I've made breads and pizza doughs many times with no stalling of the motor. Save the $50 and buy yourself an attachment that you want.8 years, 3 months ago

It's worth it. I've had issues with the artisans motor sounding like it was pooping out just making two loaves of baguettes. But this was also a pretty old model my boss had. But I've read that if you're making breads of any sort you want the more wattageby

For an extra $50 I would get the 300watt. i needed to make that decision too and chose to get the higher watts for a few extra dollars. Glad I did. Great investment!by

The mixer is about 14" tall. It did not fit in my previous kitchen because of lighting strips user the cabinets. It fits well in my current home. I hope you purchase one because it has proven to be an excellent investment. I have blown out at least three hand-held mixers because it did not have enough power to mix through cookie dough and the KitchenAid will last and mix everything, thick or thin.7 years, 9 months ago

If you use a transformer designed for motors to step down to 110V it will work HOWEVER because 50Hz vs. 60Hz in the US it will run slower and tend to overheat. I have discussed this with Kitchenaid and it is not recommended. But, google 240v appliances and you can find vendors who have a wide variety of kitchen tools that are adapted to 220/240V 50Hz including the mixers.by

Not sure about the voltage issue I suggest you contact kitchenaid customer service. The stainless steel bowl is 41/2 quarts. It comes with a wisk, paddle & dough hook attachments6 years ago
