Q:
I exchanged my first one (model PS-LX300USB) for a replacement of the same model because I could not get the first one's platter to spin. I tried all the basic troubleshooting techniques (different outlets, repeating the assembly instructions, etc.) on both, but the replacement suffers the same symptom. This makes me think it's user error, but for the life of me I can't tell what I am doing wrong.
Are there any lights on the unit that could confirm it is getting power? What are the simplest steps I can take to get the turntable to spin? What conditions need to be met so that the turntable will spin?
I am eager to use this to start converting my LP's to audio files, so this is a frustrating roadblock, especially if indeed it is just user error.
