This unit would probably meet your needs and having micro SD for expansion is very useful. 64GB micro SD works great, giving total memory of 78 GB.

Definately the Ipad mini!!! There are no products on the market that I have seen or played with that will operate with as much ease as the apple products...Before everyone who hates apple jumps on my case - yes there are some limitations, but the way you interface with the ipad makes it the best product available. I have been making the transition to an all apple home...I have a macbook pro, ipad 2, ipad mini, iphone 4gs, samsung phone, att phone, dell laptop, and Nabi 2, for my youngest....the Dell is nothing but headaches and the next time it crashes, it will be replaced with the Mac Mini...I will never buy another laptop, or computer that does not work as smoothly as an apple. Both the samsung phone is difficult to navigate, and the Att phone is always having issues. I do suggest any and all apple products so my vote is absolutely the iphone mini!!!

I have this product and using with 64 GB micro SD, no problems. Samsung is WRONG.

The Note 8 uses a micro SD card up to 64 GB.

You can can play movies (MP4) on SD card and view directly from card. I have about 30 movies on 64 GB SD card. Video players shows you movies with live thumbnails, pretty cool.

You will not be able to save Google movies to the card, internal memory only an internal memory is half used when you get it, so limited downloads. I've only been able to save 4 Google movies.

You don't connect it to a DVD player. As for file transfers from a computer, you hook one end of the micro USB to the tablet, the other to your computer. You can use the Samsung Kies software to copy files or sync music and pictures. You can also use things like Dropbox or Google Drive to easily sync files over WiFi with it.
