Unfortunately this type of IP camera would need you to have access to the router. You would need access to an Ethernet port that leads to the router. Then you would be able to log in and set up wireless.
For the use you mention, I think you should consider a P2P camera where you can use the QR code to bypass this and set up wireless automatically. The hotel management might block P2P so your best bet is a spy camera.
With a spy camera you will not have wireless access. The Foscam FHC994 has an 8 hour battery life and can be longer when using motion detection to trigger recording. It is best to always have it plugged in and hide the camera and wire as best as you can.
