does this unit have vent open feature?

I want an A/C window unit, 10,000 to 12,000 BTUs that exchanges inside room air to outside due to smoking in room

The Fresh Air Vent allows the air conditioner to:
1. Recirculate inside air - Vent Closed
2. Draw fresh air into the room - Fresh Air
3. Exchange air from the room - Vent Open

Why is window size important?

If the unit is only 19" wide, why does the window need to be a minimum of 23" wide? What's the risk if window width is smaller?

Window width must be 23"-36", and the height must be 15-1/2" minimum. The reasoning behind the specific measurement requirements it is to ensure that once the unit is placed in the window it is secure and will not cause a safety hazard for any one.

Is there a kit to convert this model to a slider/casement window?

I have an air conditioner that is 12,000 BTUs and fits in my slider/casement window. I am looking to replace it and I am having troubles finding a model. Is there a kit to convert a double hung window unit to fit a slider/casement window?

Unfortunately, there is not such kit to convert this model. Frigidaire sells three slider/casement units to fit this type of window, in 8k, 10k, and 12k btu sizes. All three of these units are normally available through Best Buy.

can this unit be used as a built-in (through wall)?

I know there are other units specifically for "Through Wall" installation but I was wondering if this unit could be used as a "Through wall) installation as well as Window?

Is there a "Kit" to convert this unit to be "Built-in"

I like this unit because it is 115v yet still does a large area 640sf. Most of the built-in models
are 220v.

Could I easily install this unit in the wall?

Unfortunately, this model will not work in a through the wall installation, I have recommended the next size up, a 15,000 btu unit, that will work for a through the wall installation.

Is it dual voltage (115v / 220v) - is there an option to switch?

There's a possibility that we'll move to a country that uses 220v and we're considering taking this with us. Is the unit able to use both 115v and 220v?
