They will send you an appropriate tip for free if you use the tip configuration tool. No cost and no shipping, so no worries!Directions:
1. Go to this link

2. Select your Asus 1005 netbook
3. Select "Add to Cart" nest to the tip suggested.
4. You'll notice it will say "Unit Price" $9.95 BUT the total will be "$0.00". You will also notice that a "Free Shipping" option is available. For no cost, select this.
5. Register, if necessary, and notice that no credit card number will be necessary, simply a billing and shipping address.
6. Complete the order and print the receipt. You will get a confirmation e-mail and your appropriate tip.
And that is how you can get the appropriate tip for free for your ASUS netbook.

It says specifically on the box in bold print... "Also compatible with Chromebook including Samsung and Acer. I have a Samsung and the tip fits my charging port perfectly. I know my computer isn't the problem because it worked perfectly before my dog chewed up the factory charger. The led light on the charger is lit up but still no internal charge to my computer. Sometimes the little charging light w on my computer will faintly light up, but no response from the computer at all. Any suggestions?by

Just because the tip fits into the computer does not mean that the RF-NBAC is compatible with the computer. You need to ensure that your computer model is listed as compatible according to the tip wizard.The tip wizard list the following Samsung models as compatible:
• XE500T1C-A02US
• XE500T1C-A03US
• XE500T1C-A04US
• XE500T1C-HA1US
If your computer is not one of these models you should discontinue use of the charger immediately. Using the charger with non-compatible devices can damage the charger and attached device.
You can contact our support center with your laptop brand and model number so that we can research what tip or charger will be compatible with your computer.

No, the RF-NBAC is not compatible with Samsung laptops. The charger you would need is the RF-ACU9025. That one will support your laptop.by

Your model of Gateway computer is not listed in the Compatibility Guide: http://www.rocketfishproducts.com/products/computer-accessories/RF-NBAC.htmlHowever, it appears that all Gateway models use the N1 tip, so this may work for yours.
