Probably the best news in the movie business over the past five years was George Lucas selling rights to his Star Wars franchise. The Force Awakens is a refreshing renewal while also very much in keeping with the vibe that made the original films so compelling. I'd like to see them be more creative and go beyond following in well-worn footsteps in future installments.

Christopher Nolan has an uncanny knack for crafting intriguing human dramas played out through sharp, insightful dialogue. Interstellar is no exception. From the beginning, the plot keeps you guessing as to what the story is really all about. Matthew McConaughey turns in an outstanding performance as a refreshingly human (as opposed to super-human) and humane kind of hero. Ultimately, Interstellar makes you appreciate how precious and frail life is on Earth, and it makes you realize we don't know nearly as much as we think we do. Can't recommend highly enough.

Incredible Technology, but Big Brother-esque?

Picked this up so the fam & I could play Just Dance 2014, and we've been having a blast. It's not exactly pinpoint accurate (actually pretty generous with dance disasters like me), and my daughter (the shortest) sometimes doesn't get picked up (even though she's the best dancer), but overall it does what it's supposed to do. The facial recognition is pretty darned good. The only problem is you can't turn it off! There is no camera disable menu item on the PS4. So if the PS4 is on, the camera is on. We have started putting a cloth over the camera when we're not using it in order to get a little privacy. Who knows where the camera data goes, or who might be tapping into it?

You have a pleasing spread of tasty snacks laid out and the beverages are aplenty. Your house is spic and span with fun decorations here and there. As your guests start to arrive, you begin to relax. The kids & I are having a blast with Just Dance 2014. I wasn't aware it also has a karaoke feature, but I have sung myself hoarse trying to earn those extra M points. Fun to spend them on new dances, but wish they could also be used for some new songs. Even though there is a lot of variety, we want more!
