So I tried the Samsung UN65JU6500, the UN65JU7090, the Vizio D Series, and an LG model. Overall, the Samsungs had the best picture and the smoothest interface. This television, in particular, has the best picture. It should, since it cost the most. I got it at $2k, so I feel like I got it at it's lowest point. That helps. Not much to say that hasn't been said. Blue Ray's look great. Direct TV looks great! The upscaling is much better than the Vizio. The Vizio picture wasn't too bad. The LG was terrible. The smart remote grows on you. Gaming looks good, so far. I have only had the tv 30 days, but I am very satisfied. I used a combination of Rtings and Consumer Reports' settings.

I was unaware that there are really no single player adventures. Single player modes are only battle scenes. I was expecting it to be somewhat like an RPG. It may be more like that in multi-player mode. However, I have not tried it.

Curious as to everyone's calibration settings. Trying to match store settings, but obviously not very easy. Any recommendations?
Use a combination of Rtings and Consumer reports. Rtings alone are a little dark. Never use the store settings. They are meant for very bright lights.

Which would you buy - assuming prices are equal at $1999 tomorrow? JS8500 or the Vizio P65-C1? I'd throw the KS8000 in but price won't drop fast.
JS8500. However, the prices are down for the KS8000. I'd go with it. The Vizio P is not compatible with Amazon Prime streaming.
