The is a very charming well crafted British spy movie that is not your daddy's James Bond. Its got good humor and a decent narrative to back what I consider a strong cast of characters. Collin Firth is wonderful as always and Samuel Jackson plays a very quirky antagonist that is not a typical villain, which definitely but spin on things. Good movie overall.

The rebooted Star Trek franchise second outing focus on coming together as a team and learning to rely on each other and themselves. But trying to use an iconic Star Trek enemy to blend into the narrative makes the movie a bit to complicated and muddles a lot of the narrative to a degree. One again, Fox went out of the superhero movie comfort zone and created a deep dark story similar out the takes of "Shane" or John Wayne's "The Shootist". I am appreciative what it doing for the superhero genre overall but the movie is a dark depressing tale of Logan (Wolverine) life after the X-Men and what happens to legends in a dark near future setting.
