"Castle" continues a strong run in its 3rd season, and this set presents it well. The storylines ramp up to a more intense and emotional level. The 'almost together, never quite so' factor is stronger in this season, but hasn't yet reached the frustrating point. The writing is still sharp and the casting is as well.
The bonus features are less funny, more on the informative side than before. Broad roundtables and in-depth studies generally span the whole season, with one specifically about "To Love and Die in LA".

Great show gets its first full season

After its mid-season start, "Castle" got a full order for season 2 and really got going. We could predict that there would be a "Moonlighting" angle to the Castle & Beckett interaction, but they found some good ways to handle it early on.
Besides the episodes, this set has a good assortment of bonus features that range from funny to informative.

A touching docudrama on "Mary Poppins" origin

While not a true documentary, this is a pretty close docudrama depiction of the background to PL Travers's "Mary Poppins". As the story shifts through different time periods, we see the author's childhood & the real-life events that inspired the character, while also watching the time that Walt Disney spent trying to convince Travers to grant him movie rights to the story.
It is a heavy emotional movie, well-acted by all the principles involved.

Great release of a cult classic cartoon

I am a fan of this 1980's cartoon and an avid player of the "Dungeons & Dragons" game, so of course I had to own this show on DVD. A few years ago, another distributor released it in a very nicely packaged box with a lot of 'paper' extras (book, poster, etc.) and bonus features. It was a quite well done set, though there was a big problem with the music on one particular episode.
This release has had the music corrected, so it is a proper presentation of the episodes. On the down side, it does not have any of the 'paper' items from the previous set, nor does it have any extra features on the DVDs themselves. It is just 3 discs in paper envelopes in a single-sized standard case.

This set gathers together all of the films from this infamous slasher movie series into one package. I believe this is the first time they've been bundled, and maybe the first DVD release for some of it. Long out of print in any previous format, this is a bargain price for all the movies. And along with them, it is loaded with plenty of extra features and documentaries. If you are a horror film fan, it's a great deal.

This is another of the "Halloween" series movies released by the 'Scream Factory' division of the Shout Factory distributors. The story in the movie itself is a pretty "love it or hate it" situation; they tried to turn the "Halloween" title into an anthology type series with an unrelated plot but at the time it failed, pushing them to go back to the original Michael Myers ideas.
The presentation on this BluRay is excellent. Great sound and picture quality, the best I've ever come across. Loaded with documentaries and special features, another one where I'm still trying to watch them all. If you were a fan of this film, get this set.

A good horror movie from the slasher period

This sequel to the original "Halloween" picks up immediately where the first movie leaves off. The plot is about what you'd expect from a movie of that time period, for most folks you either like that sort of thing or don't and that's that.
Shout Factory has done an excellent job with this BluRay release. The picture and sound are great, better than just about any other way I've watched it. It's loaded with documentaries and extra features, I'm still only part way through them.
If you like this movie, this is the best presentation of it out there.

Powerful and fast memory card

I received this memory card for free on a sale promotion when I bought a new point & shoot camera recently. The list price on this card is a bit high; if I had bought it at a reduced sale price, I'd consider it a pretty good value.
That being said, its performance is excellent. I have always had great results from SanDisk memory products, and this one is no exception. Even with the fairly high megapixel counts of my camera, this card can hold well over 1000 pictures at full resolution. I haven't tried video on that camera yet, but the expected record time is also quite long.
The transfer rate is very fast; the camera is able to recycle and be ready for a new shot quickly, and copying pictures to my computer barely takes a wait.

Great add-on to extend your network

I live in a large house so I was only getting about half-coverage from my existing wireless router. This extender has now given me strong coverage through almost every corner of the house.
The set up was a little tricky, part of it due to matching my existing security 'blanket' here in a crowded neighborhood. The other part was in placement, but that was due to available power outlets in my house, not the fault of the Netgear box.
The price was very good compared to other similar products and the performance has been superb.
