Unboxing and setting up the monitor was very easy. It comes with all the cables needed (HDMI, display port and usb) to get you started right away. Set up was extremely easy because of the way the items were packed it made set up easy. Instructions for set up was also included but set up is pretty standard for most of these monitors.
The monitor has height adjust, tilt and rotates 180 degrees. Very easy to adjust and is a decent size monitor at this price point. The monitor is made well and had no glare in a brightly lit room. If you want to test out the 320Hz refresh rate you must use the display port. PC specs - AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, ASUS RTX 5070 12GB. I was extremely impressed with how smooth the movement was when playing Cyberpunk and Forza Motorsport. When playing on a monitor that can only handle 144Hz and playing one that can handle 320Hz it’s night and day. Im able to lock in on the target quickly without shadowing or ghosting.
The only downside but not a deal breaker for me is that it’s only 1080p so it can’t double as my productivity monitor because I like sharper resolution when editing photos and reading.
Overall, I am extremely impressed with how well this monitor performed with first person shooter games and racing games. I recommend and gave 5 stars solely because of the 320Hz refresh rate.

This is a review for the new Ring Spotlight Cam Pro (2nd Gen), Plug in model, Retinal vision 4K. Unpacking the camera comes with everything needed to install and connect to any type of surface (hard or soft surface) along with app step by step instructions. That is a plus for me. I am not new to the Ring ecosystem so everything was very intuitive when setting up and connecting. The app is very user friendly if you are new or old ring customer.
For resolution I must say I am impressed with the frames per second speed. My router is further away and cuts in and out but this camera had no issues with WiFi strength compared to my other ring floodlight cam pro. There was very little lag which ever direction I moved the camera it captured the movement without delay. This is a great improvement and reason to upgrade from the older ring units. The LED lights are bright but will not fully illuminate a long driveway but good enough for a unit this small. I have quite a few ring cameras and this is a great upgrade addition. It is currently a plug in which is great but I plan on converting to hardwire because Im not a fan of wires or cables.
Overall, I’m impressed with the resolution and the frames per second. Also, the WiFi strength considering this unit is located in the same area as an older unit that has issues with WiFi strength. I recommend this 2nd generation Spotlight cam pro upgrade you will be impressed. The 10x enhanced zoom is also a nice feature but as most security cams at these price points the clarity is still not clear compared to higher end models with higher resolution and zoom capabilities.

Smooth Pan and resolution

Unboxing the Lorex 2K camera, 2 way audio, Color night vision, warning siren, IR night vision - the unit is well made, it doesn’t feel like cheap plastic for an outdoor camera. Pretty easy to install. The camera comes with everything you need to install, even comes with a tiny Philips screwdriver. Setting up the app to control the pan and view images was also easy and straightforward. I like that a lot of company’s are similar so set up is pretty easy now when purchasing from different companies. Register, connecting to WiFi was a little finicky because it was further out from the router so I had to move my WiFi extender to provide a stronger signal. Once it was set up and running you have to configure the motion and light settings. The camera has an optional 32GB microSDHC card slot if you don’t want to subscribe to a plan but want to save everything (microSD card not included). A Cloud storage option will be available in the Lorex Connect app soon which will allow users to back up recordings, access footage and have AI powered features.
I must say that I am impressed with the resolution of this 2K camera as well as the pan feature. It does not tilt up or down just side to side which is controlled through the app. So make sure you adjust the height when attaching. The pan feature was pretty smooth, no jittering which was pretty impressive and very useful for an outdoor security camera. The LED lights were very bright to light up the path when coming home or outside with the dogs. The night vision is clear for camera at this price point (unfortunately I upgraded phone and lost some photos).
Overall, this is a great camera at this price point for resolution, ease of use in the app and the Lorex connect app. I highly recommend if you want the pan feature and bright LED lights.

Larger and longer battery life

Unboxing - This review is for a single Arlo- Essential XL 2K Security camera. This camera is solid and a little larger and heavier than the Essential cameras. The major difference is the XL has a longer battery life and the light is much brighter when motion is detected. The camera comes with the hardware needed to install outdoors but does not come with a power adapter. Set up was very easy. The box and manual comes with a QR code that you can scan after downloading the app. After downloading the app it was easy to set up each camera. The app walked you through every step from connecting to Bluetooth and renaming the camera to add the location. I set this camera in a place that was harder to reach (higher up) so I don’t have to take it down often to recharge. These cameras have a built in rechargeable battery just plug in to charge. The camera came 70% charged but I charged it overnight to get 100% before installing. After 6 days from set up it had a lot of activity with my dogs playing and deer motion and it still had 95% charge left. This is amazing I was concerned with how often I would have to charge this camera. I do plan on purchasing a solar panel so I didn’t have to worry about keeping track of batter level. You have to adjust the setting in order to optimize the battery life. As for clarity in day and night it’s not as clear as I was hoping it to be considering its 2K resolution. Will need to play with the settings to try and optimize the clarity. The reason for the 4 stars was because of the lag time (~4 to 5 seconds) from the time motion was detected to when it would activate the camera to start capturing.
You can run the camera without a plan but it will not save events. You do get a 30 day trial to test the app out if you want to purchase. The plan will cover unlimited number of connected cameras.
Overall, if you are looking for home security camera with longer battery life, 2K and easy to set up the Arlo - Essential XL camera would be a good option at this price point as well. Very easy to set up, the app is also user friendly but will take a little getting used to if you are familiar with the other home security apps.

Easy set up and good clarity

Unboxing - each camera was came with a pack of hardware for installing outdoors but only one USB cable for charging. Does not come with a power adapter either. Set up was very easy. Unboxing my Rocketfish Premium Extending Tilt TV Wall Mount - The wall mount was packaged well and secure and came with installation instruction and a wall mounting template. One of the things I look for in any TV wall mount is the ability to adjust the mount to the wall studs regardless of how far or close the studs are and further adjustments can be made when the TV is mounted. This TV wall mount allowed for both these adjustments so I was able to position my TV to my desired location on the wall. Mounting was very straightforward with the proper tools (stud finder, ratchet wrench, etc..) and the help of another person. This is definitely a two person install just to make things faster and to help lift the TV and connect to wall mount.
This wall mount can fit 50-100inch TV up to 220lbs. I installed my 85 inch TV - the bolt pattern is pretty standard nowadays and regardless of the pattern this mount is able to adjust and fit any bolt pattern. The wall mount if very solid in construction and very sturdy when the TV was installed. It was pretty easy to mount and unmount just make sure everything is securely attached before you let go of the TV.
After the TV was mounted I was able to tilt it up or down easily without any issues. The only thing is that I wish it was more flushed to the wall so you don’t see too much of a gap between the TV and wall. It’s not a deal breaker but I would take that into consideration when purchasing a wall mount for your TV or you can frame it into the wall so you don’t see the gap. Overall I do like this mount because its sturdy, was easy to install at this price point.

Decent compact outdoor camera

This review is for the Blink outdoor 4 XR battery powered camera (extended range). Unboxing - The kit comes with everything you need to get started. It comes with two outdoor cameras, (x2) AA lithium ion (non-rechargeable) batteries for each camera and Sync module XR with power supply. The cameras feel cheap but feels like it can withstand outdoor elements. The size is very compact about 1.5 inch thick and 2.5x2.5 square.
Set up was very easy - if this is the first Blink camera system then you should first download the app on your phone or tablet and create your account. After creating your account you will need to plug in the Sync module XR and add it to your network. This to was easy because all I had to do was scan the QR code specific to each item you are setting up. The website is very user friendly so after scanning the QR code it updated the firmware and then the set up screen popped up. I changed the name of each camera to the location I was placing them in so I can easily select them on the dashboard.
After setting the sync module and the cameras the set gets some used to especially if you are used to other brand home security cameras. As far as the user interface after set up its quite confusing because on the dashboard it was not monitoring real time, this maybe because its only activated when you press the play button on the camera. I guess I’m used to going to my dashboard and viewing all camera and activities real time even when I am not alerted. You have to refresh each camera in order to see a snippet in time. If you want to review any activities you have to view clips and it only captures a maximum of 1 minute of time. So that was a negative for me for a non-plan option.
Video and image quality - a lot of lag when positioning the camera to capture area. There is no zoom or pan options of the camera lens. It’s a bare bones outdoor camera that would be good as a front door camera to capture up close images or video. You have three options for video quality - Best (1080p), Standard (HD) or Saver. Choose the best option to preserve battery life which is stated to be 2yrs - I can’t speak to battery life but after trying it out for a week the app still says both cameras have OK battery life. Would be nice if it would have bars to indicate when it’s close to needing to be changed.
What was frustrating with these cameras is that it does not have continuous monitoring so you can’t playback a clip in time unless you pay for a plan. This is the same across all DIY home security cameras or systems. I’m over having to pay for services/plans for monitoring and paying extra to have a feature that no one on the other end is even monitoring.
Overall, because of mediocre image quality, inability to pan a little left/right and cheap camera feeling I gave it three stars. At this price point I feel there are way better options out there with better image quality. However, I do like that it was easy to set up and that the app is user friendly. Also, a two year battery life if you optimize the settings to conserve the battery life. The compact size does allow you to place in a discrete location outdoors (in your mailbox as well :)).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great All In One printer for everyday

Unboxing and set up was very easy - Epson provides video step by step guides but most of today’s electronics have standard set ups across the board so it was quick for me to connect wirelessly. Also, you can connect via USB or set it up for Apple AirPrint.
About the printer it holds 250 sheets and has a 2.5 inch display which is great because if you print a lot this holds half a ream. One thing that sets epson apart from others is the EcoTank feature which is great because in the past I used to spend so much on ink cartridges that I decided to switch to laser printers because I get more printing out for regular documents. But you will not get good photos from laser printers so you need to get an ink printer. This printer is a good start if you want to print out the occasional photo and not to discerning with color. It prints great photos but not professional photos.
Set up - filling up the color tanks was very easy and messy free. The settings were standard so I didn’t have to do anything different just make sure what I was printing was captured - like the borders or footnotes. Print speed was pretty standard for plain text but I must admit I am a little spoiled because I have a laser printer which has amazing print speeds. But this does print text fairly quick less than 5 seconds a page just for black and longer for color and depends on the detail. It’s double the time for color print. If printing photos much longer.
I printed about 50 pages of color and black and white and had no issues with jamming or clarity. No smudging, everything was clear. Scanning was easy and the clarity of the print was also clear.
Overall, if you a looking for an everyday printer for the family this is definitely a top contender. The wireless printing is reliable, set up and overall cost is cheap. The cost per page comes out to 21 cents for black and white, color is 83 cents. Not bad at all. One trick that I often do with my color tanks is to shake it to get the most out of it.

Unboxing, the laptop was a nice cool blue color, very nice and sleek design to it making it feel solid and not cheap. Setting up the laptop was very easy. Dell overall is very easy to use and navigate making them a go to for me when looking for a PC and I have always had very nice and easy experience.
If you are considering switching from Mac to PC or need a PC for certain applications this would be a a good laptop to consider if it will not be your main laptop. The specs are great for a mid level laptop and good for everyday applications like excel, word and not to heavy intensive productivity. The graphics allows you to connect to 3 monitors without issues and compromise to resolution. I love the touchscreen because it allows me to move and navigate quickly and seamless from laptop to tablet.
However I do have to say nothing on the laptop really stuck out to me and it overall felt a little basic and many of the features on this laptop i feel that you can get on any other laptop and i feel that if they want to get more sales they need something unique that will draw people in. However i do feel that while it might not be anything special it is very practical and easy to carry around (a little heavier than I would like for portability) and the display was really high quality resolution and it ran very smoothly. I’d recommend this laptop if you are looking for something that it seamless and easy to navigate and use, for school, work etc. and the touchscreen worked great and it nice how you can even double it as an tablet.
Overall, because it has solid specs at this price point, 512 SSD drive and the touch screen I gave it 4 stars. It was a little heavier than I would have liked for a portable laptop for school but it does have good specs, intel 5, 512 GB SSD, 16GB of memory and touchscreen. All good components for a solid laptop that would last for high school or college.

Decent little game capturer!

This review is for the corsair Elgato Game Capture Neo. Unboxing it was unremarkable and when I removed it from the box it was pretty light which was nice, however it did feel kind of cheap. The size wasnt too bad its a little smaller than most large screen phones. Connecting it to my PS5 and my PC was a breeze (it comes with USB cables). So the main reason for buying this is to capture your awesome gaming skills real time and share with friends, youtube or social media. Why, because you wanna.
The resolution is 1080p at 60fps and supports 4K60 HDR passthrough. The Neo did well with capturing my Grand Theft Auto skills on my PS5 however when I played Fortnite, Call of Duty or 4K games there was a lot of jittering. Its a good entry level game capture if you want to capture Nintendo Switch games or games that require a lower refresh rate. If you are looking into buying something that will capture your gaming skills and dont care about resolution, refresh rate then you may benefit from the Elagato Neo. Its not a bad game capture for starters however if you are looking for high resolution because when playing it back you care about it nice it looks then dont buy this one get one with higher FPS and higher resolution.
