Great light duty laptop for school, work, or play

This small laptop is perfect for home use, light gaming, and my two preteen daughters are already using it for school work and play. It charges quickly and holds a charge for a good while. The flip feature to use it as a tablet is fantastic. The touch screen is responsive and smooth when using either a pen or a finger. Although I was disappointed that a pen was not included.
The screen is bright and antireflective. I have really enjoyed using this in tablet mode like a a-frame to have a mobile tv that's larger than an average tablet. The only thing I thing I don't really is the speakers do not sound very good in this A-frame configuration. They sound very good for such a small laptop in regular laptop mode, and they sound good in tablet mode. But set up they way I like to stand it, they don't sound good at all.
Other than those two small gripes (lack of an included pen and sound in a certain configuration), This laptop is a perfect at home of on the go computer for light to medium duty work.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My wife has been wanting a sit to stand desk for her classroom for a while. She teaches 1st grade, and while she is on her feet all day, she still likes to stand and move around after her students are gone for the day. She is very impressed with this desk so far. It is HEAVY, and once assembled it is very sturdy, very well constructed, and should last for years even in a classroom with a bunch of rowdy 1st graders.
The desk operation is smooth and it reaches a very tall height. The color is nice and blends in with the rest of her décor. The size is perfect, with enough room to work while not taking up too much space in a somewhat cramped classroom.
Assembly was simple and the instructions were easy to follow. As I mentioned previously, the desk is heavy so make sure to have a helper lift the box.
I have seen multiple very expensive sit to stand desks around my office, and this one is easily of comparable quality while being much less expensive.
I highly recommend this desk for anyone needing a sit to stand desk at their home office, business office, classroom, or anywhere else.

Efficient and Excellent Cleaning Floor Washer!

I have been looking for a way to mop the basement floor, which is massive and all epoxy coated concrete, for a while now. Our dogs keep the floor dirty and it has taken forever to mop the floor manually. This floor washer changes everything when it comes to getting this giant surface cleaned. It works incredibly well, cleans quickly, and leaves the floor looking as shiny as when we first had it coated. Seriously, with just a few passes over an area, and with just water, I cleaned the entire basement floor with one battery charge and two tank refills. The best part it that the whole process took about 20 minutes. The floor washer is light as well, so its easy to move around the floor. The dirty water is absolutely disgusting, so I know the floor is being cleaned well. Also not having to vacuum prior to using this is great. Just make sure to dump the dirty water tank outside, otherwise you'll end up with a clogged drain inside from all the nasty stuff this thing cleans up. I highly recommend using this washer for your hard floors as it saves time and cleans amazingly.

First off, setup was unbelievably easy. Just plug in the power cords for each component, plug in the HDMI cable into the ARC port, and you're off listening to fantastic sound immediately. Adding the system to the Smart Things app was simple as well (more on that app later).
I have been very impressed the with Q-Symphony sound so far. The fact that is syncs with my Samsung S90C Oled TV is awesome and contributes to the sound more than I though it would. I would highly recommend using Q-Symphony if you have a compatible TV. The only downside to the Q-Symphony mode is that you cannot adjust the rear speaker levels when it is activated, and at times the surround sound from the rear speakers seems a little low. I would like to be able to adjust them in any mode. Maybe I'm missing a hidden setting in the SmartThings app. I don't know.
Sound from movies, shows and especially Dolby Atmos content is incredible. Bass is low, loud, and rich, and voices are clear, even with our vaulted ceilings. I do not use the Active Voice Amplifier setting as it washes out the background too much for my liking, but I do have the Voice Enhancement setting active and it works well without affecting the rest of the sound. I also have SpaceFit Sound active and I really can't tell if it helps or not as I've had it active from the start. I suppose that since the sound is so fantastic then it must be doing something.
So for the SmartThings app, it has lost connection with both my TV and the soundbar twice now and it takes a bit to remove and add the devices back. So the actual app is quite annoying. Hopefully it will stay connected to both devices now because adjusting the soundbar settings using the remote is cumbersome.
Overall I'm very please with the sound, the Q-Symphony mode, Atmos content, music, and just about everything with this system. I'd highly recommend it.

Lightweight & Comfortable. I can hear it all.

To preface this review, if you buy these Bose Ultra Open Earbuds expecting the best sound available, then you are probably going to be a little disappointed. However, these aren't made to have the best sound available. They are made to provide great sound when listening to music, calls, or watching shows/movies and still be able to hear what's going on around you. They exceed at this goal tremendously while still providing very, very good sound.
Setup with the Bose app is simple. I had them connected to my phone and was listening to music in a few minutes. Listening to clear and quality sounding music with earbuds on while still being able to carry on a conversation is something I didn't know I needed. It's a pretty spectacular achievement, especially having never tried open concept earbuds and generally having been skeptical of them in the past. I've tried running with them on, laying with them on, and just sitting and listening. In all scenarios I've been extremely impressed with how I can hear everything, the music and sounds around me.
These earbuds are so comfortable; by far they are the most comfortable earbuds I own. They are very lightweight and they stay in place no matter what I'm doing. My favorite aspect so far is wearing them in bed. In-ear earbuds get uncomfortable quick with my head on a pillow, but these don't bother me at all. And with the open concept, I am still able to hear if my children are up at night. I cannot express how much these have impressed me in that respect.
With the open concept, expect to lose some of the sound quality you are used to with high priced in-ear noise cancelling earbuds. I've noticed that the bass especially doesn't hit as hard. That said, the sound quality is still fantastic. It's clear as can be even while hearing outside noise.
I highly recommend these for anyone looking for lightweight, comfortable, high quality, open-ear earbuds.

So far the printing ability of this printer is fantastic. It prints extremely fast black and white and color, prints two sided, and works perfectly when printing from computers, phones, and tablets. The major bonuses for me are the additional tray that allows me to keep legal paper in the bottom tray and letter sized paper in the top tray and the fast scanning and two sided scanning.
Set up was easy using the HP app. I do have a few notes about set up though. First, you do not need the app on every device like it says you do. It's easy to add the printer to any PC and once connected to wifi, the printer shows up on phones and tablets with no need to have the app installed on everything. Second, and this may be why the try to get you to install the app on every device, is you are going to be hounded about HP plus and an Instant Ink subscription. The bombardment of reminders and begging to sign up for those paid subscriptions is constant throughout setup. We are using this as a family printer and we do not print a ton, so after reading through the fine print, the Instant Ink subscription appears to be rip off for us. If you plan on printing ALOT, then you may want to consider a subscription as it appears to be a good deal for heavy printer users.
Now, hopefully this printer will last longer than our previous printer that was a Brother.

The audio out of these speakers in fantastic. I have been on the lookout for a 2.1 gaming speaker set up that sounds good turned up, but also sounds great and is still audible at lower volumes for when I'm gaming late night, my family is asleep, and I don't feel like wearing headphones. So far this system fits the bill. The sound is awesome and these fellas get plenty loud without any distortion. From music to movies and most importantly games, the sound does not disappoint and the bass is deep and rich. At lower volumes the clarity is not lost either so I can hear all the cheesy and lame one liners from my latest RPG adventure. Also, the lighting on my white walls at night is exactly what I was hoping for. The lights are bright and change based on the music or game sounds.
I had a few issues getting them setup. They connected via Bluetooth immediately but then I decided I wanted to try customization for the RGB. I plugged them in via USB-C and downloaded the Synapse software. This is where things went bad. The speakers would not connect in the Synapse software via USB-C. So I updated my PC, driver, and the firmware for the speakers and then they would not work via USB-C or Bluetooth. So I started a chat with customer support online. They were available and quick to respond, but started throwing out seemingly random solutions without giving me any time to try anything they were suggesting. Anyway none of those worked and I got disconnected when restarting my PC. Turns out that the issue (that I discovered) was the speakers were disabled deep in my PC sound options, so customer support didn't really help at all.
Despite the set up issues and the fact that the speakers themselves look like the hoppy pixar lamp, I am really enjoying the system and would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their PC sound.

Great Pics and Videos of Birdies Up Close

The Bird Buddy has been a fun addition to our backyard bird watching. As it seems inevitable with most grown-ups, as soon as I hit my late 30's, I started paying more attention to birds. Just a few short years later and we have feeders of all kinds and bird houses everywhere. The only thing missing was good photos of all of our backyard birds. Without investing in a serious camera set up and spending quite a bid of money, the Bird Buddy is the answer. So far we've captured several of our regular visitors up close and personal. We've gotten profile shots, funny poses, and captured them with food in their beaks. The image quality is fantastic considering how fast the birds move, and the short video clips are fun as well. The solar panel is a fantastic addition as well. It keeps the camera charged all day. If it lasts, the I may only have to remove the camera to wipe it down when it gets dirty.
I ran into several issues during set up. The first was getting the camera turned on. It wasn't immediately clear how to turn the unit on without some searching online. I consider myself tech savvy, or at least not tech illiterate, and I could not figure out where the power button was located. The instructions were not clear, and there is no indication on the camera that the power button is in the center of the little peg that sticks out from the from of the camera. Second, when running set up in the app, while trying to check the wifi signal based on the location of the feeder, the app kept telling me the camera did not have a wifi signal even though it's on our back deck and the router is just inside the house. I spent a while trying to reset the camera, removing it and adding it back to my account to no avail. Finally I left the camera overnight and when I came back the next morning to try again, the camera magically found a signal and I haven't had problems since. A search on the Bird Buddy site did not provide a solution to this problem. If this is a common problem for the cameras, it should be included in the troubleshooting section or common questions section on their site.
Overall, I am pleased with the Bird Buddy with the solar roof. Minus a few early hiccups, it is fun and takes great pics.

The suction, pickup, battery life, and "smartness" of the iRobot Roomba vacuums continue to improve. This is our third Roomba since 2017, and all of them are still working fine, speaking to the durability of Roombas as a whole.
The first 890 Roomba we got in 2017 was great and is still kicking, but needs to be emptied several times during a run and likes to get stuck under our couch and on cords. The battery life has decreased some, but with routine maintenance, it has been a great first robot vacuum.
In 2021 we got a 981 model that has two stage suction for carpet and hardfloors. The 890 was moved to the basement. The battery life and suction were better than the 890. The 981 vacuum compacts and holds more in the same size dust bin and the mapping feature allows us to see where the vacuum has been and lets you customize runs. This has been a massive upgrade to the 890 and is still running great.
Now we have the j9+. The 981 has been moved to the basement, the 890 is in my wife's classroom, and the J9+ is on the main floor. The j9+ is an even better vacuum. Compared to the 981, it runs quieter, the suction is even better, it has the same two stage suction, the battery life is longer, and it seems to be even smarter and more efficient. The best feature is that it is self emptying. We have two dogs in the house so we have so much dog hair. Even the 981 could not always complete a job without having to be emptied, and we would often come home to find that a the 981 was not done and we'd have to empty the bin and get it going again. With the self emptying feature, we can now have the vacuum rolling while we're gone and not worry about the job not getting done.
The app is user friendly, setup was a breeze, and now our floors can be cleaned anytime. I cannot recommend this vacuum enough.

So far, this Philips Lady Electric Shaver has been a mixed bag. It works really well when trimming longer hair around the bikini area. It makes trimming so much easier than manual methods and razors.
Where the trimmer lacks, at least for me, is in shaving armpits and legs. Without the included skin stretcher cap, it takes multiple runs over my skin to get all of the hairs short enough to consider a shave. With the skin stretcher cap, shaving takes fewer strokes, but still does not get all the hairs shaved easily. I've tried this wet and dry and the results have not varied. I do have very fine, blond leg hair, so this may be part of the issue. Also, this is my first time using an electric shaver on my legs instead of a razor so I may need to adjust my expectations, but so far this shaver takes much longer than a regular razor.
The positives of shaving with this razor: razor burn and irritation are non-existent and there are not nicks or cuts from slipping, distractions, or going too fast.
If you're looking for an electric shaver for women, make sure you know that this unit will not shave as close as razor. Overall, it does a decent job, but takes longer than I'm used to.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
