The Army gets its straight and sends their most experienced Special Forces Ranger Team to Afghanistan immediately after the destruction of the World Tower Buildings 2001 to right the wrong of 9/11. They talk-the-talk, walk-the-walk and distinguished themselves during their Afghan mission. The equipment was correct as are their combat uniforms and fighting procedures – it’s all about the realism of the saga. This is a story of 12 dedicated Rangers “who made a difference,” their rigged isolation and stunning beauty of the Afghan mountain terrain. The film is a unique combination of great- story telling, fine-acting, over-the-top cinematography, highly realistic sound-effects and ATMOS treatment that enhanced the action of each scene and put the audience in the middle of it all. At the end note the “Horse Soldier Monument” at the New World Tower plaza just outside the New Tower.

The spaceship operations are absolutely realistic and the 7.1 immersive sound treatment just puts the audience in the middle of all the action which heightens viewer interest to its zenith. The alien “Thing” is smart, very smart, and dangerous. The story-line is spooky and very unpredictable – the audience does not know what to expect next, and the “thing” will do anything to survive. Very dynamic sound track and sound-effects are perfectly fitted to each scene. This film is interesting and it will make you think, really think about absolute brute survival. And there’s a twist ending that will surprise even the best!

Although this film was acclaimed by the Hollywood establishment (4 Academy Award Nominations) this “rough-around-the-edges” movie with crime overtones just did not “click” with me. It’s a story of a mentally unstable USMC Vet who works at night driving a taxi cab who can’t sleep by day [Robert De Niro did an excellent job portraying this character]. Said another way, its’ a good movie with an eminently qualified acting troop and a superb Director, but as a viewer I had a very hard time getting into and connecting with its’ “meaty” story line.

Bond enters a darkened hallway and a previous killing zone, departs the building and gets into a waiting pickup to chase a Black Sedan, then a motor-cycle chase (all in Istanbul) followed by a train chase – all very exciting. Finally Credits. This saga is especially well-written and acted with highly realistic sound-effects and a sound-track that materially enhances the films action and tension – it’s a total attention holding entertainment thriller package that should please all. Ralph Fiennes’ character is M,s antagonist. The saga takes one on an interesting world-wide tour – Istanbul, London, Hong Kong, Mancal, an abandoned island, back to London, Skyfall – a manor house in the Scottish Highlands, and finally returning to London. This is a well-done film that you will want to view again and perhaps a 3rd time!

This is a hoped-up Western with a unusual and an imaginative story-line. One thing for certain it does not lack imagination nor is it short on violence. The film had a very talented front-line of acting crews and the “extras” were also great personalities. The cinematography took advantage of natural light and effectively caught the essence of each scene. The director was very successful in bringing all the film components together in a very effective way, and produced both a memorable film and a pleasurable view

The plot-line is superbly written as is the film’s 7.1 sound-track and 7.1 sound-effects which are specifically tailored to each scene – both-of-which draws the audience-into a very immersive viewing experience. It is very evident that the director of the film went to great lengths to replicate the 1961-62 East Berlin experience – clothing, uniforms, automobiles, military equipment, the building of the Berlin Wall, the East Berlin’s neighborhoods down-trodden experience both exterior as-well-as-interior, and the peoples persona – both Russian and East German. The film exudes the periods memories and emotional sentiments toward the Cold War period - both at home and abroad. This film will emotionally draw the audience-in more than just several times and bring out your pride in America as-well-as your thanks to James Donovan – the quiet hero of the film and his family. Additional Info: The Glienickle Bridge [the “exchange” bridge], 14109 Berlin Street [the Bridge of Spies] crosses the Havel River and connects the Wannsee district of Berlin with the Brandenburg capital Potsdam – the view of the bridge remains the same (2018) as it was during the period of the film except Guard Posts and Obstacles have been removed and traffic flows over it freely.

The film is a complete entertainment package: A very dynamic sound-track, on-point sound-effects and special-effects, a well-chosen acting staff who really acted their parts well, and a director who pulled the whole thing together to make for a rousing and suspenseful 2 hour solid entertainment package. This commando suspense style film was both a memorable and fascinating view.
From the director of Chicago and the producer of Wicked comes a modern twist on the beloved fairy tales you thought you knew. Meryl Streep stars in this epic musical saga about daring to venture Into The Woods. Iconic characters, such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel, find their fates intertwined with a humble baker and his wife, whose longing to have a child sends them on a quest to reverse a witch's (Streep) curse. With an all-star cast, this spellbinding adventure is everything you could ever wish for!

The usual Disney Opening. At a small village at the edge of the forest of the wood the characters sang vice speaking. This is a fairy tale like no other – its’ a Musical. – what an interesting combination to please your listening and viewing desires. In the end – all that is seen wrong was not the past and right came again, and all lived happily ever after except their lives were to take an unexpected turn. Finally their wishes came true…
Darkness has descended over the northwestern town of Cold Rock. One by one, it's children are disappearing. They leave behind neither clues nor credible witnesses, but instead a legend, a story cloaked in shadows passed from neighbor to neighbor... And with it, a building sense of terror which threatens to devour what's left of the community itself. Superstitious locals talk of 'The Tall Man,' a mysterious figure who takes the children away, never to be seen again. But Julia Denning (Jessica Biel) has no time for legends or superstitions. A nurse doing her best for the emotionally distraught and economically devastated former mining town, she tries instead to preserve a semblance of normality both at work and at home. Until terror enters her own front door. Waking up in the middle of the night, she races to her child's bedroom, only to discover an empty bed and a hulking specter in the downstairs doorway who steals off into the darkness with her boy (Jakob Davies). As Julia follows in pursuit, she will stop at nothing and will risk everything to save him. Joined by determined investigator, Lt. Dodd (Stephen McHattie) and the town's local sheriff (William B. Davis), the chase is on and with it the quest for answers Who is 'The Tall Man'? What has become of the children? Soon, the town of Cold Rock will have the answers it so desperately seeks, answers that will shake the community to it's core. A suspense-filled thriller like no other, THE TALL MAN mines a corrosive world of fear and terror before ultimately revealing it's own unimaginable truth.

This story, a sad one at that, is a parent’s worst nightmare – and sadly it is well-done and much to realistic. It is also a saga of a dying isolated community in rural Washington State whose only source of income is its’ mine and it was closed several years ago which thrust the town into despair. Abject poverty is evident everywhere. This film is well-casted and features extra-ordinary acting and it is filled with non-stop surprises/thrills. Its’ poorly thought-out ending left the audience “Hanging” – thus my lack of overall enthusiasm.

There’s the over-the-top story-line, a superbly dynamic sound-track, and the most-believable sound-effects to hold your attention while you enjoy the high-stakes drama. As the new James Bond 007 James Craig pulls his own weight and he always seems to surround himself with the best of everything – cloths, food, wine, cars, and let’s not forget women. Its’ a strong story that needs an audience more than once so I plan to view it again!
