Suicide Squad falls a bit short of good

For those that really enjoy movies you want the 3D or 4k versions, I purchased the 3D version which came with the 3D Blu ray, Blu ray and a digital copy for ultra violet ONLY (NO iTunes) and NO DVD, as well as the regular plastic case. For nearly $30 you would expect a steelcase and a full compliment of disks including a DVD. It was also disappointing that the publisher couldn't strike a deal with Apple to include a iTunes Digital Copy with this package.
As for the movie itself, it has a wonderful soundtrack that really mixes well with the action however there are some upsetting character issues if you are a big fan of the DC universe, especially if you watch shows like Arrow, Gotham, DCs Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Flash, as the studio took a few liberties such as casting a completely different actress to play the charecter of Amanda Waller and the same went for Deadshot, and Flash. To me this would have been a easy casting option, just get the actors that play the characters in the TV series to play the characters in the movie, they have proven that they can play the part and people are used to them, especially the less than 45 second one liner from the Flash in the movie, Grant G. could have easily made time to do that one line scene, but the casting director instead picked a different actor. Some can be understood, such as Ben A. being cast as Batman, as in the TV show Bruce Waynes character is still a young man, so this is not a far stretch and it works well as Ben played the part of Batman in the new Superman V. Batman movie, This and several other items really down turn the film, the saving graces are Harley Q., and the Joker, as they really pull out all the stops to make the movie really pop. As for the story-line, its a pretty standard one that won't pull any big surprises on you so enjoy the special effects and the soundtrack because the story is pretty plain. If they kept with the same actors and actresses as the TV show, and put a bit more thought into the story-line then it would rate higher but as it is this is a average movie, nothing terrible but nothing that will blow you away either. It is good for a one time view or a rental but i am a bit upset at the dollar per entertainment cost of it, i think i would have been better off renting the movie as i watched it once at the theater, and once when i purchased it and now it sits on my shelf with thousands of other movies. Happy movie watch and I'll see you next time.

This is a great and nearly complete package including 3D Blu Ray, Blu Ray, DVD and Digital Copy which is a very nice compliment of media however it would have been nice to come in a steelcase or with a slipcover 3D cover. If you take the time to make a slip cover then you might as well make it a nice 3D cover or dump the slip cover altogether and upgrade to a steelcase. As for the film it was balanced but they tried to pack to many points into the movie which kind of washed out the plot/storyline. It's not a J.J. special but Justin Lin (Fast and Furious series) did a good job of putting things together, additionally there was a solid crew including Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban and others. Any hard core Star Trek fan will buy this film to celebrate the passing of Leonard Nemoy, and Anton Yelchin. it is a sad day when we lose not one but two great people. So with all that said, its a solid film to have in your collection and if you are a star trek fan then you should already have this in your collection, if not, shame on on you, run out and buy it, there's a Best Buy open somewhere, or order it online. =/

The next chapter in the saga wasn't as pulse pounding as one would have hoped in the theater but after letting it sit for a while it was nice to watch the movie in Blu Ray with 2D to 3D enabled on your TV. The plot can stand alone without seeing the other films first but it helps if you have seen the first four films. There is plenty of action and Matt does a good job of keeping up with the momentum of the character. The story-line is still solid and the movie is enjoyable especially on the second time around. As for the boasting about HDR (High Dynamic Range) this is pretty annoying as there are no HDR TV's OR a standard for HDR out yet (See MaximumPC January 2017 Page 48, thus far HDR has options of HDR-10, or UHD Premium, or maybe Rec.2020, or perhaps BT.2100, SMPTE 2048...well you get the picture! Additionally there isn't a color standard yet, it could be 10-bit or 12-bit color and the potential standards go on and on so it is fairly deceptive of the movie company to boast HDR picture quality on the film. Moving back to the film, you will find it is a refreshing watch on the second or third time and you may even spot some things you missed the first time, as well as the nice performance Matt puts on introducing the special features/bonus features were he tells you a little about the clips you are going to see and I found this to be very professional and tastefully done, as it makes it seam like the bonus content was actually though out and well written just like the movie and unlike many others films with special or bonus features that turn out to be just a slideshow of cuts that didn't make the movie or something of that nature. All and all it is a good value as you get the 4k Blu ray, as well as a regular Blu Ray, and a digital copy all in a nice, sturdy steelcase, the only thing missing is a DVD version of the film as it only costs a few cents to make the disk and it wouldn't possibly detract that much from the profit margin on these 4k films as they are all fairly pricey, as far as movies go these days. Enjoy the show.

These are extremely nice as they will fit in your coat pocket and only need one cable to connect to most USB ports. The speed could be a little better despite it stating that it is USB 3.0, it still takes a while to transfer large files, or a lot of files at once, helpful tip, you are far better off transferring a few files at a time, 8 to 10GB rather than trying to transfer or copy 30-50GB at once, for some reason it just slows down and takes hours as opposed to 20-30 minutes. Additionally you want to be very careful with these as if you do not remove them in the operating systems software, or unmount them then the next time you plug the drive in you may get a shock as it will ask you to format the disk and your data will have disappeared. Also do not drop these or subject them to any sudden impact as they are very sensitive and the enclosures do not provide the best protection. You can purchase aftermarket rubberized caddies that clip on around the drives and provide a extra level of safety. All and all its a good price for a lot of portable space, however keep in mind that there are 2TB, 3TB out there now for under $80, $170 respectively.

Nothing spectacular but with good special effects and some popular actors, like Stephen Amell from "The Arrow", you can bet you will get your 3D money's worth. It's a good reboot of the original with some new twists because it is after all more of a sequel than a remake so it helps it you have seen the first one but if you haven't it ok as well because they throw in a fair amount of flashbacks and dialog to explain the story. Great 3D, i just wish they would have included a steelcase with it for the money.

As most Verbatim disk go these dual layer disks are no different, there are many DVD Burners/Writers out there that simply don't like something about Verbatim disks, it could be the foil that they are made with, or a coating, or one of a dozen different things. I can tell you that they seem to work well in most LG, and Samsung DVD-RW's but they do NOT seem to work so well in Sony, NEC or Lite-on DVD-RWs so maybe try a smaller pack first to make sure they work as i coaster-ed over 25 while testing on different drives. Additionally these 8.5GB dual layer disks are a fairly good deal when on sale and safely hold about 8.1GB of data, do not expect to be able to over-burn these like you can with many of the dual layer Memorex disks, which are the brand disks that i would recommend as they work in pretty much any DVD-RW, play in just about any DVD Player and in most case can be slightly over-burned with the right software. Enjoy, and happy backing up.

With a interesting storyline (sorry no spoilers here) the movie starts off with a bang and then settles down a bit with good highs and lows in the typical Vin fashion. You can expect solid fight scenes and a fair amount of action and some special effects. Additionally you get the full compliment of Blu Ray, DVD, and HD Digital Copy, if only this movie was made in 3D it would hit 5 stars, or if it came in a steelcase that would boost it to 4 1/2, in any case its a good change from Vin's long stint in the Fast & Furious series. So no need to buckle up to enjoy this film.

Fair Film with all the media bells & Whistles

Finally we get all the media we want but are left out in the cold when it comes to bonus swag. There are many versions of TMNT2, some come with a steelcase, some with a bus style case, among others and then we have this version. It hits all the A/V check boxes, 3D Blu Ray, Blu Ray, DVD, & HD Digital Copy, so as far as flexibility in the formats of media we cannot complain about that, however (you knew this was coming) it is unfortunate that it could not come in a steelcase or with some additional bonus to make you feel a little special. In this case though i would rather have the full compliment of media options than to be left wanting a disk and have a steelcase or some cheesy bonus that you will probably throw in your desk drawer. Stephen Amell makes a great film appearance (a change from his normal roll as Oliver Queen, in The Green Arrow TV show) which helps add to the movie as it combines old memories with something new and updated. Nice job, but still MADE IN MEXICO, common companies, lets get these movies made here in the USA.

A 3rd chapter to add to your collection

They almost nailed it with this one, it has a blu ray disk for your home theater, a dvd for your laptop when your on the go and a HD copy if you have a fast internet connection. Additionally it comes in a nice steelcase which is always better and has a nice texture to the paint on the cover. The one thing keeping it from 5 stars is that there was no 3D version available, and i saw it in the theater in 3D so i know it exists. This is another flaw in the movie trends, you typically have the forced option to get the nice steelcase but no 3D disk or you can get the 3D disk but in a regular case and most likely it will not have a DVD and once again, Made in Mexico, there is no reason for why these cannot be manufactured here in the USA. The storyline is fair even better if you have watched the previous two films, this is one that is a good buy at a good price to add to your collection.

Where did the DVD's go in my Blu Ray Combo

Its almost there, with a good cast, fun and easy to follow storyline this checks a lot of the A/V marks however there is a issue. This set comes with a nice hologram style cover, a 3D BR, regular BR and a Digital Copy which would be great if you had a faster than 10Mbit internet connection. Many of the movie companies are doing this trick now where they know that many people still like the DVD, be it so you can watch it on you PC while working or surfing, or on a plane, in the car, etc, because even if you have a blu ray drive in you PC and Laptop (like I do) you still have a very hard time to find the right player (still haven't found a good one yet) so you can't use the blu ray disks in the set and if you don't have anything but a faster than fast internet connection you might as well give the HD Digital Copy to a friend with one because you will only get frustrated trying to watch it. The movie companies are already cutting corner by having the disks made in Mexico (just check, 90% or more of the TV shows, and Movies on the shelf have "Made in Mexico" cleverly printed on the back were it is hard to see) so let's get the DVD's back in the mix. We know that people still want them because i see Blu Ray & HD Digital or DVD & HD Digital, were you used to get Blu Ray, DVD & HD Digital all in one, or if it was a 3D movie then you would usually get all those and a 3D Blu Ray disk as well. For the prices that they are charging ($24.99 to $44.99, which is outrageous for a none steelcase without a DVD disk) so I am sure they can afford to add a 15-20 cent DVD version with you $35 3D Blu Ray combo, we just need to let them know.

Upgrade & Save Double Disc?
Are Upgrade & Save coupons based on title or number of discs? There are some special edition DVDs that I have that I would like to use for Upgrade & Save to Blu-Ray that contain 2 discs. Do I receive 2 coupons or is it simply 1 coupon per title?
You need to bring in the complete set, so if it is a 2 disk set with a blu ray and dvd then you cannot keep one and turn in the other for a coupon. Just put yourself on the other end of the deal, would you want to pay $xx.xx for a 2 disk movie set that only has one of the formats of disks? I don't believe you would so it is only fair that you return both. for example the Fast & Furious series of films originally were hit and miss, some came with only a blu ray OR DVD while others came with a Blu Ray AND a DVD, now you can get a steelcase set that comes with Blu Ray, DVD, & Digital Copy. This would be a prime example of were you would want to trade in your original Fast & Furious 1,2,3,4,5,6,&7 and get the complete steelcase set that has everything you want and in a nice steelcase to boot.

I got 2 of these WD5TB Ext and they do NOT come with any disks, it seems that the software is pre-installed on the drives. It comes with dotNetFx40, WD SES Driver Setup, WD SmartWare Setup (which is what you were asking about), WD Driver Utilities Setup and WD Security Setup. Great product with the exception of the USB cable (the single row as opposed to the more stable/less likely to get bent double row cable), but for the price its hard to go wrong. I just wonder if you can remove them from the case and put them in a NAS, or your own enclosure......hmmm, anyway, that should answer all your questions, good luck, VipersHardware.
