Good game with solid mechanics. Bullet physics are a bit inconsistent, and more could be done to communicate how range affects windage and bullet drop. Sorry, but a .308 is not affected by gravity until about 100m irl, but you'll experience bullet drop at 25m in this game. Sniper Elite doesn't explain that, nor how windage has a compounding effect every 100m (at less than or equal to 100m the bullet will hit exactly where the windage indicator shows, but at 200m it is twice that distance, and so on, plus even more effect when using suppressed ammo). Take this into consideration when lining up shots at 150m or more. I recommend playing without the aim assist on Hard to make the game more realistic and challenging, but practice a bit with aim assist at the rifle range to get the hang of bullet physics with each rifle. Xray cam gets dull faster than you would expect, but is good enough to keep combat satisfying for the long haul.

Far Cry: Primal had been in my backlog since shortly after it released, but I just now got the chance to play. Considering I loved Far Cry 3 but never played Far Cry 4, Primal's "redundancy" criticism didn't bother me since I attributed it to it's release being shorty after Far Cry 4's. It's a solid game with good customization and enjoyable combat. The Beastmaster aspect is the most interesting and offers even deeper combat options.
The problem I have with the game is that the world is oversaturated. You would expect the stone age to be a bit more desolate. Combat, as good as it is, wears thin just because you're in it so much. For instance, I had set a waypoint to claim a campfire 50m from my position (to establish a respawn before setting out on a longer joirney to a quest objective), but got sidetracked for 30 minutes because on the way to the campfire, I encountered 2 packs of wolves and the ensuing fight led me into a skirmish between my tribe and a group of enemies. After I finished off the wolves and rival tribe members, my beast companion pulled a brown bear that 1-shot it and chased me all over the map because I wasn't yet strong enough to kill it. Needless to say, I never got around to reaching the quest objective that night.
This may seem like a good problem to have, but it isn't. The combat is great, but gets stale because it occurs too often and there isn't enough customization or variation (and there's a lot) to keep it fresh at the constant pace. "Your own adeventure" becomes hard to maintain since the game doesn't let you focus on what you're doing because it's too busy throwing everything in the world at you at all times. Luckily, the bow (and it's variations) is almost as fun as in Skyrim, so that helps keep it going for the long haul.

Great game, everything a sequel to the original should have been. The choice of Emily or Corvo adds enough replay value for at least two playthroughs, and an upcomg update will add a mission select option, so you can replay missions without having to slog through the campaign again.

A solid follow-up to BF4 with an excellent campaign. Hardcore mode is the only way to play multiplayer, otherwise it's a run-around bullet-sponge fest.

Mafia 3 has obvious potential that it never achieves. Bland graphics and world. Weapons with no weight. Repetitive story missions. Rigid and canned character animations. Bugs and glitches galore. The voice acting is great and the story is quite complex, but the presentation rang hollow because the gameplay's shortfalls prevented me from feeling fully engaged. Games must first and foremost be fun. Mafia 3 is not. I was actually forcing myself to play the day after I bought it, and have ended up regretting this purchase.

The story and characters you meet in this game are truly unique, and both accurately parallel the current state of the U.S., making them relevant and relatable. Fallout, Mass Effect, The Witcher, etc. do not have characters quite as unique as DE:MD. However, if you're looking for an action-packed adventure, you won't find it here. This is a slower, more methodical experience that allows you to savor combat as opposed to indulging in it.

DS3 is one of the best games released thus far in 2016. I've never liked a Souls game before (including Demon Souls) because the combat was too clunky, but I loved Bloodborne due to the crisp, fluidness of combat. DS3 is the best of both worlds: an improvement on Bloodborne's stellar combat mixed with Souls' RPG elements.

Don't believe the reviews. Excellent shooter MMO (that's actually an RPG, unlike Destiny) w/ surprising character development depth and enough end game content to keep both casual & hardcore gamers engaged.
