Great Additional Monitor

I take my laptop everywhere, but I hate working on the small screen. This screen is a very good primary or secondary monitor, and the product description does not do it justice. I got mine on sale for ~$100. It has the three inputs you want; HDMI, DVI, and VGA. It even comes with both HDMI and VGA cables, saving you ~$40. It does tilt and swivel. I am not a gamer and don’t need the super-fast response. I do watch video on it, and it does well, no issues with refresh. I have multiple monitors at the office and this one compares well with those.

Mesh networking for home wifi.

This is an expensive solution, but in my opinion worth the investment. A good wireless AC router and a good range extender may be less but they don’t do as good a job.
The Velop provides one network name throughout the house; as a result, you are never trying to join a weaker network. You can move around, which is the whole point of wifi. The Velop does its internal communications on a separate channel freeing up bandwidth for all the devices to connect. Other features include; the smart phone app for setup and management, the ability to setup a guest network, and the ability to set priority for the home office computer over the game system.
The reviews in the trade journals of mesh wifi give good information on the performance of the available systems. For me, Linksys has been around for a long time, it is backed by Cisco, and it was easy to set up. I am very happy with the technology and the application.

These controllers are what allow you to use your hands and body in a more realistic way in the VR world. Shooting, punching, etc are just more authentic this way. It takes a few minutes to get used to not using the standard buttons but once you do movement becomes very natural. BTW you can open the door of the truck to shoot behind yourself.

Stand just a little closer

This was the only part of the Sony VR setup that gave us a minor problem. The position of the couch is based on the size of the TV. That seemed to be a little far away for the camera to sync consistently. This was solved by using the foot stool and sitting just a couple of feet closer. For arm and body movement this actually works better.

I think of Logitech as the maker of well designed, reasonably priced, computer accessories. This Bluetooth adapter has the same qualities. Easy to hook up, simple to connect, pairs quickly.
