While I love, and need, the protection this case provides, I wish the cover would flip into place (like a clam shell). I also don't like that other than the small rubber "feet" it is slick and can slide easily depending on the surface.

I'm giving this device 4 Stars because of the protective sleeve it comes with and its warranty.
Some things to note for people looking for a much cheaper alternative to an iPad for kids is that, depending on their age, and if they are already used to the iPad operation and Home button, it can take some time to get used to. Also, I wish the kid's could access YT kids app. Our son loves that app and it isn't available (that I can see). Also, he loves Thomas the Train and so we will download the free movies from Amazon Prime, but he can't watch them when he's logged on as the user.

The thinnest iPad ever is also the most capable. It's loaded with advanced technologies, including the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

I do love the sound, and I know that it is not a true surround sound system, but it still leaves me wanting more. It seems like it doesn't provide any simulated surround sound like the store model, and sales associate indicated it would. It was very simple to install. The remote continues to "forget" the Blu-Ray player and Apple TV unit.
If you want much better sound than your TV speakers can provide, then wait on a sale, and purchase this system.

Does this unit work with OTA ?
Yes! It works great for me (I'm in the Dallas metroplex). We got rid of satellite and are enjoying it. It took a little getting used to, but I love having DVR capabilities for our favorite broadcast shows. We already had an Amazon Fire TV and AppleTV so I really didn't need another device for Netflix and Amazon Prime, but it's there if you want/need it.

Does this item work like a vhs? I want to be able to program at a certain hour a program and record it! I have cable but don't want to pay for the service every month. I record programs once in a while! Does it have storage?
First, you don't set it like a VHS exactly. You search for the show or program you want to record, then set the recording options (one-time, record the series, etc.)
Second, TiVo is not free - you have to rent a cable card from your cable company and you pay a monthly, annual, or one-time fee to TiVo. The only free TiVo option is their Roamio OTA (antenna).
Third, yes it has storage. It holds one terabyte of recordings. Depending on your video quality (SD or HD), you should have hundreds of hours of recordings.

Does it retain recordings if you change companies, i.e. if I changed from DirecTv to Time Warner, will the shows I recorded while with DirecTv still be saved and viewable after I disconnect the DirecTv box and connect/activate the Time Warner box?
I am not aware that the TiVo Bolt is compatible with DirectTV.

Can I use it for 3 TV's?
No, it is connected to one tv. However, you can purchase two TiVo Mini's for your additional tv's and they connect to the TiVo Bolt. Just note that all of the TiVo devices must be connected via Ethernet as the Mini's don't have wireless capabilities. The other option is if you have an MoCA network.
