I forgot the password to log onto my Dell laptop. It says I need a USB password reset. Will this work?
If you did not setup a reset key before being locked out, you may be out of luck. You can reset your pc to factory defaults and start over.
If you are using a microsoft account on the pc you can likely go to their website and reset the password there.
If it is a local account and you do not know the password, you might be able to find someone who can hack it for you. If not you may be out of luck.

what is pass-thru feature? what does it do for you?
I am guessing you are referring to the feature that allows your devices to plug into the receiver via the hdmi cable and the receiver passes through whichever input you select to the tv. You don't have to scroll through inputs on the tv anymore you can do both volume and input selection via the remote of the receiver. It's actually pretty nice.
