I enjoyed Korra from start to finish. Beautifully animated, likable characters, fully-realized world. A world which, much like Korra and the stories being presented, has grown up. The early technology aesthetic mixed with bending traditions works, creating an interesting dichotomy between benders and non-benders, as well as subsequent "have vs. have-not" social commentary.
Avatar Korra, while immediately likable, can wear on your nerves after a point, as she often feels incapable of personal growth. She'll overcome a struggle or hurdle, only to go back to being stubborn, pouty, or just plain stupid. Unlike Aang, who displayed continual and consistent growth, this can be annoying at best and cause confusion at worst. That said, I don't believe it to be a deal breaker.
It's well worth the $30 asking price, and a steal if you can get it for around $20.

An unexpected gem

Horizon Zero Dawn portrays a well-realized world with a well-considered, well-written lore. It is a world which you will want to revisit, which is good because the complete edition offers more of the game by including all of the DLC.
While a great experience, it's not perfect. Combat can get repetitive rather quickly, especially on the MUCH longer battles with tougher beasts. It doesn't help that the combat system isn't very engaging. The cover system is hit-or-miss, as enemies seem to be able to spot you in some cases while being oblivious to you in others. Also, if you strike from cover, even if the beast didn't see it, they often seem to be able to pinpoint your location with unreal accuracy.
The open world, for as beautiful as it is, suffers from the same open-world sandbox conventions found in Far Cry, Assassins Creed, etc.. That is to say, climb a tower, unlock a map and all the markers, make your way to the marker OR follow a clearly marked trail. Repeat. This can get tedious if it's not your thing. And if you do venture off the beaten path, invisible walls are prevalent and numerous.
Overall, a very good if not great experience. Still absolutely worth your time at under $20.

This anticipated release of this blu-ray has been on many Ghibli fan's radars for YEARS. Now that it's available, it receives the same visual and audio fidelity upgrade you've come to expect from G-Kids and Studio Ghibli.
Regarding the movie: Very quirky, very charming. Consider it a film featuring small "slice-of-life" moments. The dynamic of the family is perfect. The animation is simplistic and allows the characters to shine. That said, some, some parts are very Japanese, which will leave many viewers unfamiliar with the film or the culture scratching their heads at cultural cues, pop-culture references, and common tropes. Don't let that deter you from watching it, but definitely watch it before buying it.
For everyone else, it's a solid recommendation.

...and a great "special edition" to boot! The artbook is charming, the included CD features the amazing modern-retro soundtrack of the game, and the game pack includes ALL of the previously released DLC. Well worth the price of admission in my opinion, ESP. if you're a Gamer's Club member.
Historically, these Day-One Editions for Shantae games go FAST and are then impossible to find. If you're interested in the series and enjoy charming visuals, great music, and solid platforming, give Shantae a shot!
