Good for the basics

We were replacing our Pixma Pro 9000 w/ an AIO printer and wanted wireless so we went this route as we love our Canon.
My wife does a lot of multi-media printing and the night we got this she wanted to print envelops - nothing but problems.
There is no bypass tray on this printer to feed in specialty media, so keep this in mind if you're a creative type.

Outside of this, which was a requirement for a printer for us, the setup and usage for the few hours I was getting things ready to go seemed really straightforward and easy to get going.

From what distance will the ring transmit to the chime, and will the signal go thru plaster and lathe walls?

My doorbell is hard wired but on the left side of my house next to the door. That way it I'm afraid it doesn't face the person when they walk up the steps and ring the doorbell. Can it be turned slightly so that it faces the person walking up my steps.
you don't need to worry about this. you'll see the person. it has a 180deg view and you see it as a "fish-eye" lens

We successfully printed on 5x7 envelopes w/o issue.
