Very quiet and powerful fan

Adapted two of these fans to draw heat out of an enclosed space behind an RV refrigerator. If I hadn't installed an indicator light I'd never know they are on. They are that quiet. They also move a good amount of air. I'm having no problem with heat build up.

will this work while hooked to a 12vdc battery?
Robert, this will definitely work. I installed two of these in electrical parallel in my RV to remove heat from the refrigerator.

I plan to use this fan in a small RV to move air over the refrigerator coils in order to help cool them down on hot days. Can you tell me which two to the four wires are the power wires?

This is EXACTLY what I did in my RV. I sealed off the roof vent from inside the RV using 1/2" plywood. Then I cut two holes in the plywood to mount the fans to ensure the fans pull the air out. As for the wires, there is no way to tell which wires just by looking at them. But only one black and one gray will work. So I cut the plug off and stripped about 1/2" off the sheath. Tried one black with each of the grays and nothing worked. Tried the other black and it worked with only one of the grays. Those were my two to use. I'm pretty sure the gray wire was the positive and the black was the negative. But try it both ways to make sure. I cut the other wires to about 1" and wrapped them with electrical tape.
