I am a long time mass effect fan and had high hopes for this game. Sadly the game lacks polish. The animations are poor, there is texture pop ins, and playing on a sony 4k with HDR 10, graphically I expected a lot more. After playing Horizon Zero Dawn, this looks like a previous gen game. I bought 2 copies of the game (one for my son in college), the guide, novel and art book. I returned all of it except the games because they were opened.
On the plus side, the Nomad is fun to drive, theres a lot of mix n matching you can do for your class and the combat is fun.
Hopefully they patch the issues, but it wont wash the initial stink off. I compare it to stepping in d00d00. You can wash it off with a hose, but a few bits are still in the grooves of your show so the odor lingers.

My kids really love the game and the added items on the special edition were great. Only thing I didn't like when watching them play is that you can get electrocuted if you have metal weapons during a thunderstorm in your inventory, doesn't even have to be equipped. And I wish the docked switch played at the same frame rate as the tablet mode
