Great HDTV for bedroom

We had an older Samsung 40" larger borders and 720 p, which we originally hah in the living room, but had replaced with a 55" 1080p Samsung a few years ago. The new 40" is much more compact and has much better picture. At under $300, it was about 1/5 the cost of the old 40" it replaced. The old 40" is in guest room.
We didn't go with the smart tv version as we can always add another Apple TV.

This was purchased for a basic LG 7" tablet from AT&T. It does okay for that basic tablet, which can serve as a wifi hotspot when traveling.
I wouldn't recommend for use on an iPad that is used frequently during the day.
The price was good - cheap cover for a cheap device.

I was replacing an old RCA home theater system. I liked the multiple HDMI inputs. Initially, I got the receiver sold separately, but returned it for this total system. The new system uses all HDMI without the optical cable. Also, thei system has powered subwoofer.
