Like most Amiibos, this is a collectible that HAPPENS to do a few things in a very select amount of games. I have always seen buying these as a collectible rather than for functionality. Nintendo always does this - has a great idea that they never fully support. Imagine having Megaman in all types of franchises and vice versa. It would be nice to see the overlap completely fleshed out in the Amiibo products.

Not Nearly as Good as the Despicable Me's

I have to be honest. I got bored watching this movie. I love the Minions in the Despicable Me movies. They add to the existing storylines and are great for comic relief, but as a stand-alone product (the producers didn't give them enough storyline to sustain my interest) They don't talk, remember? So everything they do is gibberish... that is why the point of having a better storyline is important; otherwise their little grunts and silly talk gets annoying quick. Can't wait to see them in the 3rd Despicable Movie coming out soon, but on their own - this was a disappointment. Even my boys got bored and they love the Minions.
