Son Loves the Series, Found it on Sale

I enjoyed the book series and the movies were decent. I would say the movies are ranked as follows: 1) Catching Fire, 2) Mocking Jay, Pt. 2, 3) Hunger Games & 4) Mocking Jay, Pt. 1
They really didn't need 4 movies (greedy) Jennifer Lawrence brought the stubbornness of Katniss to her role, but she lacks the ability to show true emotion in any of her roles. Her crying always seems forced or over-acted. I always thought this series would have been better (in the movies) if they had Katniss narrate parts. There is only so much an actor can do with their facial expressions (where a scene that so much is going on in Katniss' heart or mind are concerned) Had she narrated those moments like she does in the book, then the movie's story and her internal conflict over Peeta & Gale and everything she feels; would have come off better with the audience. As a book to movie, this one was average.

I love this television. It is crisp and beautiful. Works like it was promised. The reviews stated it was better to go with the higher refresh rate and glad I did. Have to adjust some settings for movies vs sports vs games (but lots of websites out there with exact configurations that work well with this model) Definitely worth the price (I got it for almost $1000 off when it was on sale for $1500) Not sure I would pay full price for any television out there.

Great Movie; Room for Improvement

J.J. Abrams actually played this one safe. The movie hit all the nostalgic factors I had hoped it would. Hit all the graphical effects I wanted. Pushed the Star Wars lore forward into a new direction, but honoring the identity of the original series. The reason I said he played it safe though, is that this didn't really bring much we haven't seen. More of what we have seen (and actually loved) Washed away the bad taste of 1, 2 & 3; but not much more of what could be an amazing series again. Just like his Star Trek series, it was a great reboot - honoring the source material. Now I'm just ready for the storyline to blow me away going forward.

These guys were on clearance. They act like pets or companions (more than actual characters) They are cute, but overall frivolous. Can't use them and special items at the same time. They help you fight, but the games are so easy, it hardly matters.

Super Cheap on Clearance

Just like the Heading says... I bought these super cheap on clearance. They are basically pets or companions to your Skylanders within the game. They are fun to have around, but really don't do much. They actually make it so that you can't use other special items. You have to swap them out if you want to use the special item pieces. Mainly for show, but since they were only a couple bucks, I said, "what the heck"

Frivolous, but Does The Trick

I bought a new Xbox One controller at GameStop (Copper Shadow) - BestBuy's version is Blue. The controller looks nice and I wanted a place to always keep it. This stand was on clearance and fit the bill nicely. The bottom where you are supposed to hide batteries is not very accessible, but since I use the rechargeable packs, I don't use it. I wouldn't recommend this if you are hoping to access that a lot. Otherwise, pretty straightforward. Fits my Xbox One controller like a glove. Gives it a home on my entertainment unit to stand on.

This guy is only worth it if you don't already have a Eruptor in your Skylanders set or if you are a collector. For me, this thing was a couple bucks found on a clearance rack... so, I said, "why not" I like the black and now my son and I can both play with Eruptor and look different while doing it.

These are excellent headphones. The only drawback to the Beats is the stiff price. Their quality is not so far above the rest that they could charge the prices they do and still call it a good deal. If you get their products on a significant discount, you have purchased a very high quality product. I love them. But for the ridiculous prices they sell them when their models are new, is all about name recognition. There are equally just as good options at those price points (even better, honestly) but if you get a set for $100 when it originally sold for $200, then "yeah, man" go for it.

This review is simply a statement of fact. I unboxed it and plugged it in and it worked. However, I returned this item once I realized the issue was not the previous router; as first suspected. So, I got my money back and went with the Motorola I had bought. When Comcast got its act together, both modems worked great. So, I can at least say that much about this item.

Brought me back to my childhood

My review is strictly from a personal connection to the real Titanic story. I was never a fan of the "love" story; although there are a lot worse you could watch. What I was haunted by and remember the most is the attention to detail that James Cameron brought to the set pieces. I read a National Geographic magazine about the discovery of the Titanic wreckage when I was a kid and I was fascinated with the turn of the century architecture and decor of the greatest sealiner in history. Cameron brought those images to life. I would have been intrigued with the design alone, but of course, with the tragic story only made the Titanic and this movie that much more infamous. The movie got a lot of those things right and for that (and the amazing score by James Horner, RIP) I continue to enjoy this film all these years later.
