In the end this is just a faster iPad Air

Bought this for productivity and was very disappointed. All this ended up being is a faster iPad Air and with the flimsy Apple Keyboard and really worthless pencil, the whole thing is a wanna be Surface with a useless iOS for productivity. Lets face it, all an iPad is good for is games and checking your credit cards and bank statements. I can do the same thing on my phone and trying to use MS Office on this was a joke. Go buy a Surface as it is a better option.

Better than 2nd gen Ring Doorbell - Love it!

Let start by saying not sure why other reviewers are not in love with this product? I had the 2nd gen version of this product and it was okay, a few quirks, but let me say in the two days I have owned this 3rd gen version, I love it! First off it is easy to install and despite having to return a defective one back to Best Buy to switch it out for a new one, it could not have gone smoother. This version includes live camera view which allows you to view outside your front door anytime you want. Not only that, you can set up small to large motion zones and it is a slimmer design much like any doorbell and different than 2nd gen which was a boxy ugly thing. Plus they give you 4 different faceplates to choose from to match trim of your house or apartment. Customer support is great to work with. Only drawback with this one is the hassle of installing an interior wired component to your existing doorbell, plus this only works with wired houses meaning there is no battery option here which I did not need anyway. In all this is the only smart doorbell you should own!

Not ready for prime time! Clunky hard to use

I bought this because I was sick and tired of Logitech sync issues and frankly just tired of Harmony. I have owned every version of Harmony out there including Elite (latest one) but lately, Logitech is not the greatest anymore. With constant updates and Sync issues and just not a smooth touchscreen and interface I wanted to see what else was out there. Decided to take a chance on this one and after having it a few days, it is okay, a few quirks here and there. Set up out of the box was simple, connect to WiFi and start connecting your devices and boom you are in business. Home screen is something to get used to, having only a few options, it did what it was supposed to do but it took a few tries to play around with certain functions etc. to make it work smoothly. One thing I cannot stand with it, is being half way across the large room I have and it won't switch channels due to the fact you have to be somewhat close to the device and be pointing directly at it or it won't work. At least Harmony has IR blasters to help solve this issue and you can be anywhere in the room and those work. Touchscreen on this is like an iPhone, and swiping to fast forward or move around the screen is something to get used to as well. I can get used to those things, but not sure yet if this is for me. I do like having physical buttons on a remote at times and having just a touchscreen I am not sure about yet. I may keep one more day and just return this since I am not sure this is ready for prime time and although seems like a good device, it still has quirks that I am not liking.
UPDATE: too many extra steps to get this device to do what you need it to do and I have a simple set up and I am technology advanced. Not ready for release and not a company I can back. Returned it! Bottom line this is not the Super remote it claims to be and other reviewers must not of ever used a Logitech because they are way ahead of these guys!

Let me start by saying I have now owned every model Fitbit including Surge and the watch and I have owned three Apple Watches. I have gotten rid of all these since they just did not work for me and I was without a fitness device for a while until I spotted this band which is the newly revamped MS Band and I wanted to try it out. So far it is pretty good, still feels a bit uncomfortable and will take some getting used to but it is not bad. What I feel like is different from Fitbit is the clean look and features this band has. See Fitbit just looks cheap and their screen and interface looks like an old style digital watch and it was bulky and looked strange. This band is sleek, a bit larger than I thought but is low on wrist. The touchscreen works great and notifications are similar to Fitbit and Apple Watch. What Microsoft did right was to cram a lot of various fitness pieces into this band which after all this is why you buy a fitness band, for fitness correct? So far I like the amount of things in the band, it does not have glance where it auto turns on when you look at it which is fine. I have yet to work out with it but so far I like this much better than Fitbit. Price is a bit high though.

Roku still reigns supreme!

Lets face it, Roku beats out any other streaming box including Apple TV just by the simplicity of it's interface, home screen and way around the device and I have owned every Roku since gen 1. This new box is even better and now supports 4K however I own a 4K TV 1st Gen and unless you have the codec connection within your HDMI through the latest 4K TVs, this box will not support your 4K TV. Plus 4K content is very limited and there is just not enough of it out there to justify upgrading to this box just for the 4K capability. The other drawback I found with this box is that it is larger, despite being thinner, Roku went the other direction and made their box larger size? Did not make much sense to me with this option. This all being said, this is still the fastest and easiest streaming box to own and has literally every channel you could ask for including HBO Now and Netflix as well as other movie channels which will help to phase cable out. I would highly recommend since the price is right and Roku still reigns supreme!

The ones to use not the ball mounts

This is definitely the mount to use with these cameras. The magnetic ball mount is flimsy and not reliable and this one the camera actually screws into the mount and the mount screws to the surface. I would go with this mount instead of what came with the cameras.

Easy to set and use, buy mounting bracket

Easy to set up and mount and easy to use these cameras are a cinch. Not sure why the reviews about batteries draining since I live in New England and we had a hard freeze and these batteries did not drain nor did anything happen to the camera or image. One note: buy the separate mounting bracket since the magnet ball bracket these come with is a joke and has one hole to mount on a screw which leaves it sort of dangling. The mounting bracket secures the camera fully to a surface and then you can actually screw the camera onto the bracket to ensure it wont fall off. The magnet ball it can fall off the wall if it say gets some ice on it etc. Make sure you have strong WiFi with these. I have 75mps and it works fine but anything less I can see the signal being weak. The app is pretty good and helps to set this up and is easy to use. I would highly recommend these over wired cameras since you can mount these anywhere even a tree and they work great!

Easy install and quick to set up with crisp clear video and sound. This device ties in nicely with my thermostats and protects and it shows me a clear picture of my house at all hours plus the voice interaction is pretty nifty. I wish they would have made this to be all weather to go outside because I would have bought a couple of these for my exterior to monitor outside around the house. I would highly recommend if you are looking for smart home monitoring. The one thing I would have changed is to make the stand a 360 degree stand since it only moves in a few directions.

The best of the best Universal Remote

I have owned now 7 Harmony remotes including two Harmony Ultimate Home remotes and this new upgrade takes the cake as the best they have come out with yet. First off you can easily transfer all your old Harmony remote info from your old remote easily with this new update. Plus now using the Harmony app on iOS, it makes it even easier. This new remote integrates all your home devices on the buttons including lights etc plus it also moved the Play and fast forward buttons to the middle of the remote due to the fact this was a major flaw on the last two remotes that have been released. It keeps all the major features intact that Logitech is famous for and works with every single device you can think of including Smart Things, Sonos, Rocketfish and Roku and Apple TV. You cannot go wrong with Harmony remotes and although the price tag is high it is worth every penny!

Just okay, not what I thought it was

This is just okay, not really what I thought it was. Set up was somewhat easy, but became a hassle since it kept timing out and also gave me repeated error messages that it would not connect to the server. I am pretty tech savvy and it took me probably 30 minutes to figure out that you could do either bluetooth and also had to do Wifi set up. This is not compatible with Amazon Echo yet and does connect with Nest to notify that you are away. The rules you can set up really do not set this up to open when you approach and pretty much this is just a system to notify you that the garage is open or closed plus you can open or close the garage from anywhere through your phone. I guess I thought I could do more with this system. Still a pretty cool system but one that you could live without especially at this price point.

I had just installed 2 2nd generation Nests and 3 weeks later this was released so I boxed them up and returned both to Best Buy and swapped them out for this generation version. Those of you who think there are no big differences in generations, you are dead wrong. This generation of Nest is thinner, larger more bold screen and has a Farsight setting which enhances the entire dial, noticing you from about 20 feet away looking at the thermostat. Plus it seems more intuitive and is just sleeker looking. What happened was Google bought these guys and said, lets update this product to make it look like a modern product put out by a Google company. Plus this syncs nicely with all 9 of my 2nd gen Nest Protects and is just a beautiful product. So go ahead and trade in your 2nd gen Nest Thermostat because you won't be sorry!
