Decent, but nothing special.

This is a decent offering into the Metal Gear franchise by Platinum Games, but overall nothing special or too memorable.
The gameplay is fast, frantic and typical hack-n-slash. However, a lot of it depends on a parry system that isn't all that great and it can become very repetitive overall.
Graphics are pretty good, though there is a big dip between gameplay and cutscenes.
The storyline, dialogue and acting are all typical MG...even without Hideo Kojima's involvement. Heavy-handed lectures on philosophy, war and politics from a cyborg ninja with silver hair gets a bit too goofy to take seriously.

Incredible value

While the original 1974 classic and the fifth installment aren't included in this bundle, this is still an incredible package which includes Death Wish 2, 3 and 4.
When you buy those films on Blu individually, they will cost you close to 50 bucks. When you do the math, it's a no-brainer for Bonson fans.

I've never been more happy to finish a game...

This is one of the most frustrating video games I've ever plaid.
Visually, Shadow Fall is a great tech demo for the powerhouse PS4 and the core gameplay elements are on-point, with the OWL drone being a nice tag-along edition.
However, the bad far outweighs the good here. Some negatives I experienced:
- You cannot change your primary weapon.
- The story is largely a disjointed mess and practically tripping over tropes.
- Bland characters make it impossible to be invested in anyone you encounter throughout the campaign.
- Some lazy level design results in waves of bullet sponge enemies being used rather than presenting fun challenges.
- While the larger scale is ambitious, some of the objectives are extremely vague.
- The story is largely a disjointed mess and practically tripping over tropes.
- Bland characters make it impossible to be invested in anyone you encounter throughout the campaign.
- Some lazy level design results in waves of bullet sponge enemies being used rather than presenting fun challenges.
- While the larger scale is ambitious, some of the objectives are extremely vague.
This game is frequently on sale and with GCU, I'd recommend it for under twenty bucks.
But other than that, it's hardly memorable, other than being needlessly frustrating.

In 2014, there were many re-releases of past-generation games on both PS4 and Xbox One.
The Last of Us Remastered was the best re-release available last year, with bonus DLC included and an improved framerate and visual upgrades.

A Brutal Descent into Madness...

When it comes to revenge flicks, South Korean filmmakers know what they are doing.
I SAW THE DEVIL is a brutal descent into madness, and shows what happens when a sadistic serial killer meets his match in the form of an equally dangerous, equally violent, equally cerebral special agent who is hell-bent on revenge.
Elements of drama, horror, action and noir are all seamlessly blended with an ample serving of violence in this modern revenge masterpiece.
NOT for the faint of heart, but fans of the genre will love it.

The Dark Passenger rides off with a whimper...

Dexter as a whole remains one of the finest original series Showtime has ever produced. However, the last few seasons left a lot to be desired, and it's unfortunate this final season does little to change course.
I won't spoil anything, but my biggest criticism of this season was that too many loose ends weren't addressed and longtime characters did not receive proper send-offs with new characters, twists and subplots being introduced and rushed.
The audio and picture quality of the Blu-Ray set is very good, and this is worth adding to the collection for collectors and fans who have been with the show since the start. However, I find very little replay value.

A classic remasted and revamped

Just a few weeks away from the 2014 reboot of Robocop comes a re-release of the classic 1987 film on Blu-Ray.
While there are several other versions of the film currently available on Blu, this one offers a stunning 4K scan which showcases the film in all its glory with the best audio and video available.
Another plus is that first-run copies include a ticket voucher for a discount to see the new film in theaters.

Two of the best FPS of the past generation

BioShock and its sequel, BioShock 2 are two of the finest offerings into the FPS this past generation was fortunate enough to have.
In addition to engaging and thoughtful storytelling, the two titles feature very fun gameplay that is easy to pick up and play but difficult to master. Throw in some of great HD visuals and sound, and you have a great overall package for a very low price.

A fine genre installment...

When it comes to films, South Korea is infamous for its brutal revenge thrillers. From the classics such as the iconic OLDBOY (2003) of The Vengeance Trilogy and A Bittersweet Life (2005) to more recent offerings including The Man from Nowhere (2010) and I Saw the Devil (2010), when it comes to righting a wrong through violent means, these films define the genre.
Released in 2012, A Company Man follows the trend and tells the gritty tale of a rogue hitman who must battle against his own former employers....who just so happen to be a large corporation specializing in professional murder. It's a fun though cliched plot which is wraps up nicely by the end of the film, but doesn't offer anything really new to the genre. However, what A Company Man lacks in originality it makes up for with slick choreography.
The picture/audio quality of this release is very good and on-par with other WellGo USA distributed films. Worth a watch if you're a fan of revenge flicks.

A relentless, brutal throwback

Following their collaboration on "Ninja" (2009), Director Isaac Florentine and leading man Scott Adkins team up once again to bring martial arts film fans "NINJA 2: Shadow of a Tear". While the first film was pretty underwhelming and not very memorable, this sequel picks up the slack considerably.
Let's get one thing clear-- the plot is full of cliches and the acting leads a lot to be desired. However, Scott Adkins is phenomenal as Casey Bowman and delivers a thrilling performance throughout. There are fight scenes every few minutes, and the violent confrontations vary from one another with creative choreography and and camera work.
If you like martial arts films, CHECK THIS OUT!
