This was an interesting movie to watch but not one that I want to see often.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a funny movie but not one that you can watch over and over. A few times is alright.

Fans of this lighthearted romantic fluff will no doubt be pleased with Paramount's DVD edition. The picture is an eye-pleasing 1.85:1 anamorphic transfer that nicely captures the Chicago settings. A film as dialogue-heavy as this one doesn't usually benefit from Dolby Digital 5.1, but certain scenes do stand out, most notably during Mel Gibson's dancing to Frank Sinatra. Director Nancy Meyers and production designer Jon Hutman provide a commentary that is more informative than one might expect. Meyers gives some good behind-the-scenes info and shares some good anecdotes as well. Additionally, there are a pair of featurettes that are mostly promotional in nature, but offer up some good footage of the film being shot, as well as a couple of good bits about the film's creation. A complaint must be lodged about the lack of deleted scenes, as the included trailers show a handful of sequences that were indeed removed from the final cut. Still, it's a minor quibble when compared to the other solid offerings to be found on this DVD.

This movie has some good action scenes but the rest could use some work.

A Los Angeles special liaison officer (Wesley Snipes) is called in to investigate the murder of a call-girl in the boardroom of a Japanese corporation. Accompanied by a detective with unusual knowledge of the Japanese culture (Sean Connery), the two men must unravel the mystery behind the murder by entering an underground Inchshadow worldInch of futuristic technology, ancient ways and confusing loyalties.

With these two great actors I expected a lot more. Nothing really happened in this movie, though.

Robert Rodriguez brings along Antonio Banderas for his hyper-kinetic action ride Desperado. Columbia has done a decent job on this 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. The only flaws in the image include some edge enhancement and a small amount of grain. Otherwise this is a very attractive looking image that sports clean colors and even black levels. The audio is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround in English and includes a multitude of sounds and directional effects (including rapid gunfire and bombastic explosions). This is a very through soundtrack that should make any home theater rumble with excitement. Also included on this disc are Spanish and Korean subtitles and Dolby soundtracks in French and Spanish. Sadly, this edition of Desperado includes nary a trailer or commentary track -- the DVD is purely bare-bones.

IS IT WORTH PAYING SOMEONE TO CALABRATE OR TWEEK THE SETTINGS ON MY SAMSUNG 52A650 LCD

Yes!! It is very much worth it. They make your tv look the very best that it can in your setting. I would recommend anyone doing this with a tv 42" or larger.
