The sequel to the surprise sci-fi hit Critters gets a simple but effective presentation ion this DVD edition. Critters 2: The Main Course features two transfers of the film -- a widescreen edition letterboxed at the original aspect ratio of 1.85:1 (and enhanced for 16 x 9 playback), and a pan-and-scan full-screen version at 1.33:1. The film's original English-language soundtrack has been remixed for Dolby Digital 5.1 presentation, while an alternate French-language track is in Dolby Digital Mono. The feature is closed-captioned in English. The film's original trailer is included as a bonus feature.

The third film in the Critters franchise (featuring a young Leonardo DiCaprio) gets a simple presentation in its release on DVD. Critters 3 has been given two transfers for this disc, a letterboxed (and 16 x 9 enhanced) version at the aspect ratio of 1.85:1, and a pan-and-scan version at the full-screen ratio of 1.33:1. The audio (in English) has been remixed for playback in Dolby Digital 5.1, and the feature is also closed-captioned in English. A trailer is included as a bonus.

Roger Donaldson's The Bounty comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. Spanish and French subtitles are accessible, and the soundtrack is closed-captioned. Supplemental materials include the original theatrical trailer. This is a solid release from MGM/UA that should satisfy fans of this oft-told tale.

Clark Griswold and his family take on Sin City in this comedy, which gets a fine presentation for its release on DVD. Vegas Vacation has been given a letterboxed transfer at the aspect ratio of 1.85:1, which has also been enhanced for widescreen playback on 16 x 9 monitors. The audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital 5.1, and in addition to the original English-language soundtrack, an alternate track in French is available, as well as optional subtitles in English, Spanish, and French. As a bonus, the disc also includes production notes and the film's original theatrical trailer.

Danny Cannon directs Sylvester Stallone in the science-fiction action film Judge Dredd, which comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. An English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, and a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. There are neither subtitles nor closed-captions on this release. Supplemental materials include the theatrical trailer. This is a fine release from Disney/Buena Vista.

American Wedding, the third film in the successful film series that started with American Pie, gets some bonus footage added to it on this DVD release. This disc contains both the original theatrical cut and an unrated version. Both are presented in widescreen anamorphic transfers that produce an image with an aspect ratio of 2.35:1. English, Spanish, and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. Spanish and French subtitles are accessible, and the English soundtrack is closed-captioned. The extensive supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by members of the cast and crew, bloopers, deleted scenes, three featurettes, and a short section that defines the various unique phrases used by the irrepressible Stifler. This is a great disc for fans of the series.

IS IT WORTH PAYING SOMEONE TO CALABRATE OR TWEEK THE SETTINGS ON MY SAMSUNG 52A650 LCD

Yes!! It is very much worth it. They make your tv look the very best that it can in your setting. I would recommend anyone doing this with a tv 42" or larger.
