Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), a Philadelphia boxer, is but one step removed from total bum-hood. A once promising pugilist, Rocky is now taking nickel-and-dime bouts and running strongarm errands for local loan sharks to survive. Even his supportive trainer Mickey (Burgess Meredith) has given up on Rocky. All this changes thanks to Muhammad Ali-like super-boxer Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers). With the bicentennial celebration coming up, Creed must find a "Cinderella" opponent for the big July 4th bout -- some unknown whom Creed can "glorify" for a few minutes before knocking him cold. Rocky Balboa was not the only "Cinderella" involved here: Writer/director Sylvester Stallone, himself a virtual unknown, managed to sell his Rocky script (one of many that he'd written over the years) on the proviso that he be given the starring role. Since the film was to be made on a shoestring and marketed on a low-level basis, the risk factor to United Artists was small. For Stallone, this was a make-or-break opportunity -- just like Rocky's million-to-one shot with Apollo Creed. Costing under a million dollars, Rocky managed to register with audiences everywhere, earning back 60 times its cost. The film won several Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

This movie has good fighting scenes but the rest isn't too impressive.

Will Smith made the jump from rap music star to respected comic actor when producer Quincy Jones tapped him to star in a situation comedy series about a streetwise kid from Philadelphia who goes to live with wealthy relatives in the Los Angeles suburb of Bel Air. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air was an immediate hit in the ratings, and this special DVD box set features all 25 episodes from the show's hilarious first season. Guest stars appearing on this set include Queen Latifah, Don Cheadle, Naomi Campbell, Richard Roundtree, and Jasmine Guy.

This box set contains every episode from the third season of the highly rated CBS situation comedy Everybody Loves Raymond. Each is presented in the original broadcast aspect ratio of 1.33:1. Supplemental materials include commentaries by star Ray Romano and executive producer Phil Rosenthal on the episodes "The Toaster" and "How They Met?" A panel discussion with Rosenthal, bloopers, and deleted scenes round out this fine package.

Bad boy Blue Collar Comedy Tour favorite Ron White (aka "Tater Salad" to those in the know) returns to the stage in a stand up performance that puts the absurdity of day-to-day life into hilarious perspective. After touching on such universal topics as marriage and offering some helpful advice on picking a spouse, the scotch-swilling funnyman introduces his audience to a new character named "Squirrel Man" whose over-the-top comic antics are sure to leave viewers aching from laughter.

IS IT WORTH PAYING SOMEONE TO CALABRATE OR TWEEK THE SETTINGS ON MY SAMSUNG 52A650 LCD

Yes!! It is very much worth it. They make your tv look the very best that it can in your setting. I would recommend anyone doing this with a tv 42" or larger.
