A chance purchase...completely satisfied!

I was browsing at my favorite Best Buy location and just when I was about to leave empty handed, I chanced upon this Roku Express streaming device. Apparently it just recently came out and that being said, I was surprised at how low-priced it is for what it can do. Since I have been thinking of setting up my small spare TV as a workout room entertainment device, I decided to purchase it and I was immediately satisfied by this little gem. The device is super easy to set up and syncs seamlessly with my other Roku device built in to my giant 4K TV. Some reviewers said that it is sluggish but so far with mine, it hasn't really been that pronounced. I didn't expect it to be as snappy as the one built in to my 4K TV but I mean come on, the thing's 30 bucks. Sound and picture/image quality are quite acceptable and live streaming so far with at least one news app is highly reliable (wi-fi dependent of course). Overall, this device is capable enough at it's price point but I would suggest to get the more feature-packed and pricier Roku devices if you are thinking about using streaming devices for your main TV and entertainment hub.
Box content information: Roku device, remote, batts, HDMI cable, power cable and plug (TV can also be a power supply source), adhesive tape (if use is desired) and simple manual

Perfect iPad for non-Apple fans.

If you're like me who doesn't care about having iPhones (I'm a Samsung guy) but somehow need to use FaceTime, this is about the best Apple device to buy. Although the tech used was 3 years old, it still receives the latest updates and software features and it's also the perfect size for me to suit my FaceTime and on the go needs. Just be sure to connect to WiFi and or your phone's hotspot in order to fully realize it's intended use. Spend a bit more on the bundle that comes with a sleeve, stylus, extra longer charging cable and screen protector and you're all set!

During a post-Civil War Wyoming winter, a stagecoach bearing a bounty hunter (Kurt Russell), his foul-mouthed prize (Jennifer Jason Leigh), an ex-Union officer (Samuel L. Jackson) and a lawman (Walton Goggins) makes it's way towards Red Rock. The worsening snows force them to shelter at a general store occupied by a caretaker (Demian Bichir), a cowboy (Michael Madsen), Red Rock's hangman (Tim Roth), and an aged Confederate general (Bruce Dern). As the blizzard traps them within-possibly with no escape-resentments, greed, and hidden agendas emerge that might destroy them before the elements do, in Quentin Tarantino's moody and stylish sagebrusher.

The Q is at it again! This is one heck of a bloody, cerebral western picture that's guaranteed to keep you entertained. Loved it when I saw it in the theater and love it even more watching it at home :)

Online experience could be better

Singleplayer: This game is awesome in its entirety on the singleplayer area. GTA fans may be let down a bit due to seemingly repetitive nature of the game and little variety but the setting being in the Old Americas alone makes up for it. Never seen a Western game quite like it. And true to Rockstar style, players may find themselves confused what to do at first. Heck!, hunting wild anilmals and picking flowers alone eats a lot of time.
Multiplayer: This area is this game's Achilles. In short, this area is full of bugs and glitches. Character disappearing, steeds nowhere to be found, enemies and wild animals sucking your life out of nowhere (are they invisible really?), and worse, players getting stuck while doing crucial missions. Rockstar, you gotta do better than that. Expecting a quick fix on this.
As a whole, the graphics and the environment are some of the most awesome around, mechanics doesn't hurt players who are into CoD and other shooting games, and sound and music are just superb. One thumbs up Rockstar/TakeTwo!
What's great about it: Refreshing in a sense that the environment is so unique
What's not so great: Online bugs and glitches are unbearable

Hardcore RPG, anyone?
on April 10, 2010

This game isn't for the weak-willed gamers who only love to pull the trigger and or mash the buttons til kingdom come. I say so as this game will make a character die a million times before advancing an inch into a world/mission. This repetitive cycle tends to remove a player's consciousness into what he is really trying to accomplish: Am I fighting these demon's to get that darn key to open that gate? Or am I fighting them just to regain my lost souls? This and numerous other in-game brutality may shy players away but for some who don't mind sitting 10 hours straight a day just trying to get past one world, it sure is a source of satisfaction once overcome. This is also where grinding spells the difference in the game. And I mean real, intensive grinding to level up characters to status that would ensure success in conquering this game. Graphics sure isn't the topnotch but it's at least on par with the best ones out there.
My big complaint about this game is music/sound effects. The world is quiet enough to give away the enemies' position yet, one can't even hear his character's footsteps while climbing a ladder. Also, I may sound crazy but, I think there ghosts in this game, as sometimes footsteps or hisses can be heard even when nobody's around anymore (like after all the enemies have been killed in an area) except the character. Makes me go like 'what the h*ll?'. Boss fight music is also very generic like a reap off from anime cartoons. Another complaint is about some enemies being so dumb. Imagine an enemy with thousands of HP getting trapped by his own doing, opening himself up for easy attacks. I mean, that alone takes a big chunk of challenge out in this game. Story-wise, this game isn't on par with the likes of Uncharted or Bioshock series but still decent.
TO sum up, this game deserves all the "expert" review scores it got as it lives up to the hype, well, at least to it's being "hardcore" and the self-gratification after beating it. If you loved the great Diablo series, Fallout or any other amazing RPGs, then this game may be a welcome addition to your collection.
What's great about it: Challenge
What's not so great: Some AI enemies are flawed, inconsistent sound effects(at times absent)

Maybe the Lakers players need to watch this too...

I gave acting a 1-star (it should have been a no star) because there is no acting here. It's a documentary for crying out loud... Anyway, this docu is great for all Lakers fans and also for Kobe-haters as it gives an in-depth perspective to all the emotions behind that Larry O'Brien trophy. From the rough post-Shaq era towards their return to greatness, the current Lakers team certainly have a lot in their tank to make another "Three-peat". Well, hopefully, they shake off that rust they have right now and make their 2nd straight this year. Maybe they should watch this too to be inspired.
What's great about it: The greatest team in back on top
What's not so great: On extras, why not show whole games?

Mr. Bean: The Whole Bean contains 14 episodes of the comedy series that starred Rowan Atkinson and owed a large debt to the great silent-screen comedians. In addition to the episodes themselves, the set offers never-before-seen sketches, a documentary on the character, previews of the animated Mr. Bean television program, and information on Atkinson.

what tv should i buy with my ps3?

any HDTV with HDMI capability... either a 720 or a 10180 will do. save some money and get a 720 and you wouldn't notice any difference unless you have a robotic eye.

Is $300 the cheapest for a brand new playstation3

I've seen on other stores' listings and some of the sell the 80gig at 269 bucks. With that, I say the Slim 120gig at 299 is the better deal.
