my opinion, there are only a few truly great television series in the sci-fi/horror genre, especially today. They just don't seem to catch the mainstream viewers' eyes and end up canceled. This show being canceled felt like a Terminator T-800 had ripped my heart out of my chest. It's really, really, really great.
If you're a fan of the Terminator movies, especially 1&2, you'll love this. Lena Headey is extremely effective as Sarah Connor, but she brings more emotion to the role than Linda Hamilton did. She's smarter, less desperate, more caring of her son John. Thomas Dekker is fantastic as John Connor, as is Summer Glau as Cameron, and the biggest surprise is Brian Austin Green as Derek Reese, brother of John's father, Kyle Reese.
The plot twists are compelling and leave you on the edge of your seat constantly. Richard T. Jones' performance as Richard Ellison takes what seemed like a bland character to great heights, and you found yourself rooting as much for him as you were for the Connors. Dean Winters' Charley Dixon character is heartbreaking and the role of Jesse Flores, played by Stephanie Jacobsen, is hot.
The special effects for a TV series are surprisingly good, but what makes this series is the thrilling suspense of stopping the terrifying idea of "Terminators" and "Skynet", the raw human emotion that's perfectly played by the actors, and the fact that the show doesn't treat viewers like idiots. It's smart, emotional, human sci-fi - right where the genre always does best. The music is spot on and really adds to the show, much like the music of Friday Night Lights accentuates that show. The cinematography is pretty good for a television show as well.
If you're a fan of the Terminator movies, again, buy Season 1 and Season 2. If you're not, I still recommend you give this a try, because you don't have to be a fan of the films to like this either - there's enough real-life, grown-up drama to hook most anyone.
In closing, it's one of the most enjoyable shows I've EVER watched on television. I'm really sad that it's over, but glad that I'll be able to watch it over and over again. And I will."

What's great about it: Pretty much everything. Season 1 was very good and laid some awesome ground work. Season 2 hit it out of the park.
What's not so great: There's a slight lull to the first 1/3 of this season, but all for good reason. All loose ends get tied up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

"I've never played any of the previous Civilization installments but gave this one a try based on the demo. The game itself is incredible. The graphics are cartoonish and the "dialog" (which consists of nothing more than spoken jibberish whenever you highlight an action) is incessant and aggrivating, but the actual gameplay is very addictive. It is a turn-based strategy game and the basic premise is to dominate the world through technological advancement, cultural superiority, financial gain, or just plain brute force. The levels of difficulty range from too simple to nearly impossible and everything in between. The AI is fair for the most part except that as the difficulty rises, the computer tends to compensate for skill by giving itself unfair advantages, like expanding it's cities quicker than is normally possible. Also, the AI has the ability to demand money and technologies from you in exchange for peace while the player does not, something that will hopefully be addressed in a future patch.
For anyone that is a fan of strategy games, turn-based or even real time, this game is a must have."
What's great about it: Worth it!
What's not so great: None after 45 hours of game play.

"if you want a sandbox game to destroy everything this is the game for you. use your sledgehammer to knock down support columns to bring a building down, or use bombs to take out the supports, and if that gets old, just drive through the place in a vehicle and call it done.
everything in the game can be destroyed. the physics are good and every building falls differently which keeps it awe inspiring. the story is ok but isnt grade A and you can read about it in the description so i wont get into it. this game is about destruction. once you destroy buildings, walls, vehicles, people you collect items to salvage to use to purchase new upgrades which is cool. the graphics are great and the landscape is your playground of destruction, go bring down some buildings already
What's great about it: destruction

waste of money. I should of just kept playing Modern Warfare. I just don't really like this game compared to Modern Warfare or any other FPS. The only positive I can say about this game is the graphics and the solo missions are fun. But if you have played one Call of Duty game you know that these are fairly short and not long enough to fully feel like you got your money's worth for a single player game. The online gameplay is horrible. Not my favorite FPS. I was kind of disappointed. I don't see why everyone is all excited about this video game."

well I only played the demo and imp already wanting to get the game and it took me so long just to finish one of the missions and I like it like that and usually I want the game to go faster but I like the speed that the game goes. And I cant wait."
"I am a long time Command & Conquer fan and have mainly played it only on the PC.... until now. The radial menu in the game is excellent but it is a lot different from the old PC Mouse & Keyboard combo....just know that once you get it down...you won't miss the keyboard or mouse. The tutorial is very deep and I recommend playing through it twice to get a good hand on the controls. Once you get them down and get into the game a lot fun awaits. If you are a fan of the RTS genre this game is a must buy."
This is a Great Game for the PS3, The sound is great. The units are all unique, and your can crank the level up to brutal for a heck of a challenge. The Graphics are just pretty to look at and all the little effects look nice. Also this game is packed with all lot of useless extras but they are nice to be on the DISC. The controls will take some time getting used to and for now the game dose not support keyboard and mouse. That really shouldn't be a problem because the game teaches you all the little controls and actions you can do with the controller, Basically its up to you if your willing to learn a deep game like this one. This is a must buy for all you C&C fans
What's great about it: A RTS on the PS3, Fun to play
What's not so great: Controls will take some time getting used too

This is a classic sci-fi film. A robot from the future comes back in time to kill Sarah Conner so that John Conner can never be born to destroy the Terminators in a future battle between mankind and the Terminators. The Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is a robot with skin over the top to appear human. It is a great film and a classic. The story is cool and the action is even better. You will love this film and I would buy T2 and Terminator 3 as well you will not be disappointed"
