Best FPS so far

I guess everything is said. COD4 is the best FPS game I ever played. It has all the stuff: precise gaming, good story, not many bugs (even when sometimes some friends or enemies do some fun stuff), and the most important think is that the story is fluid in time (not applicable for example for Killzone II, where your friends die and then suddenly is waiting for you some steps ahead or an entire crew is waiting for your arrival after you are the first entering the scene; you wont find that in COD4). Really a must for lovers of FPS. The only thing I can criticize from the game is that it is pretty short, but then you can start playing online.
I am waiting for COD6 next month.
What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: Short
I would recommend this to a friend!

SynopsisFresh from the trauma of a horrific plane crash, you try to make sense of the environment you are in. You landed in the icy depths of uncharted waters with not even a remote possibility of help in sight, but somehow you have survived. In discovering the undersea city known as Rapture, you can't believe your luck when you realize that you won't succumb to the freezing cold water. However, your journey has just begun into a land of grisly discovery where every second is a fight for your life. Uncover the secrets of the city of Rapture, a failed utopia whose founders and residents had experimented with genetic engineering before their beautiful city was overrun with anarchy. Explore the structures designed in a rich Art Deco style and encounter incredibly authentic water effects and environments. Despite its name, however, Rapture is not always a pleasant place to be, as you will have to decide whether to use the survivors of Rapture to your own benefit or become a hero in their emancipation. Customize your weapons with ionic gels, explosives and toxins and your body with genetic modifications to mutate yourself into the ultimate fighting machine.

A different kind of FPS

Well, even when it is an old game the playability is excellent. The game itself is well polished even when some bugs are going around (as an example, big daddies got stuck several times during the game and they become easy to defeat in that way). Puzzles are quite compelling at first and I enjoyed exploring places to find extra ammo and objects. You have a lot to find going around. Ammo is not abundant, so you have to explore all places every time to find extra objects that help during the game. The main problem I sough is that the game is not very intuitive the first time you played it, so you will ran out of ammo quite often. I did not quite understand how to play it until I did second round, I cleared my mind and the strategy of the game was quite different and then is when I really enjoyed the game. If you buy it, I recommend you to take a lot of pictures with the camera and look every way for objects and ammo. Another issue is that it gets some repetitive after a while, but still I felt good enough challenge to continue playing. The game did not disappoint even after playing COD4 and killzone II, so it does not matter how many FPS you played, you still will enjoy it. And overall after the price it has now (less than $20). Give it a trial.
Looking forward to Feb 2010 to buy Bioshock II.
What's great about it: Playability, story
What's not so great: quite hard the first time

Quite good FPS

I used to be a big fan of R1, which still is a very good game for playing. I bought this game with great expectation and for good or bad I played it after COD4. Even when the game is enjoyable it lacks the quality and playability of COD4. In the bad side I think that aiming to targets is not quite precise (like you shoot anywhere and bullets hit the target anyway, it is so much forgiving) and bosses are quite easy to defeat (leviathan and other big bosses should be harder). And difficulty is quite easy (I beat it in difficult the first time I played it with no problems). In summary, I feel as if the game lacks a good polishing to do it more enjoyable. And it is a shame that the coop mode is gone for the entire game. Even so, still it is a good game, but I did not get so compelling to defeat it at all cost as I was with Bioshock, COD4 and other good quality games. I think you will enjoy it, but please do not play it after COD or Killzone II. Graphics are very good, sound is spectacular for a 5.1 system and story is quite good. I did not play it on line so I won’t tell anything about it. Recommendable FPS, but you will get more for a $59.99 FPS with killzone II or COD.
What's great about it: Graphics, sound, story
What's not so great: Playability, not coop mode thru the entire game

what ps3 games are compatible with the steering wheel controller?

I would say any racing game. For sure Gran Turismo 5 and Need For Speed, as I tried and both worked.

Best none first person shooter game?

I love first person shooter games except they make me dizzy and sick to my stomache so I would like to know what are the better ones out there that aren't first person shooter?
depends of your taste. Little big planet is a mass, even when is make for children is enjoyable at all ages. Uncharted 2 is a mass but it is a third person shooter so may be is pretty similar to what you are trying to avoid. Need for speed is also a good game if you like cars. And I love Street fighter 4 but you will be worse than with a FPS!! too much action. These are the best going around there as far as I know. I am going to buy godd of war 3 (RPG), but I still can tell you nothing. My opinions, check reviews about every one if you like a different opinion.

best multiplayer game

looking for a good multiplayer shooter game to play with my buddies. Really liked COD modern warfare 2 because of the special ops. Is there anything similar or just something you would suggest
KillZone 2 is pretty similar but a bit inferior quality imho. You should enjoy it if you like FPS. You can take a look of the reviews.
