This is not the case these days, and everyone should create bootable USB system 'disks' so that hard drive problems don't render your PC unusable. Not a 'Real' Terminator Film?

How do you make the UBD-M8500 BluRay allow to show pictures from a DVD continuously on my Samsung TV?
The ability to repeat an entire movie is determined by the DVD's publisher. To watch a movie in repeat mode select Tools, then cursor down to the Repeat Mode selection and press the 'Enter' key. If repeat play is available, cursor down to select Title, and press the Enter key again. You can also change subtitles and other modes.
Note: Turn Repeat Mode On after the actual movie starts to play. If you try it too soon the screen and menu will go blank very quickly.

how does dustcover hinge engage, is it easy to remove and replace dustcover.
since the hinge engages at 14" tall, this turntable will not fit in my vertical space of my entertainment center. but, if i could easily remove the dustcover, play records, and replace the dustcover at the end of the night, without turning the turntable around in a tight space, or fumbling at the back without being able to easily see, it might work for us. i am hoping the hinge is a simple slotted situation, you can remove and replace without screws and flashlights, etc., if so...then it might work for me. thanks for your quick reply. i only have 10 inches of vertical space, so there is no room to mess around and try to get a hinge to engage, or screw and unscrew things every night. thank you!
The cover has two 'paddles' on the rear edge that stick straight up. The cover can be lowered onto these and removed quite easily. However, with only 10" you won't be able to get the cover safely past the tone arm, and the tone arm should not be hit by anything, period and ever. You might just make it, but it will be a very tight situation.

can i insert a USB to bluetooth converter and send the files to my computer or iPhone?
Yes, but in my experience, Bluetooth has been a mediocre method to transmit music. The turntable has a line-level output cable and a dongle to convert the signal to a 3.5mm stereo plug. A direct connection to your PC or phone will give you much better audio quality.

Will I be able to connect a cassette deck to the receiver so I can record from a turntable? How would I do this?
The only way I can see to record analog signal using this receiver is to connect the deck's recording input to the "Pre Out" port near the Zone 2 connector and the playback to something like the CD input. Any source might possibly be recorded this way, but I don't have an analog recorder to test this with. Check the manual to see if the Pre Out is volume controlled - you may have to break some windows in order to get a 'loud enough' signal for the tape deck. If the Pre Out is 'line level' you'll be better off.
Note: recording through this receiver might not be legal. Call Onkyo and ask first..

Do I need to use this receiver in order to hear the TV sound?
Connecting your TV to the receiver will not mute the TV's speakers. You can either listen through the TV or turn the TV's volume down and listen through the receiver.

Is this hdcp 2.2 compliant?
This receiver is hdcp 2.2 compliant. I have attached a 4K player to the device and streamed 4k content and everything works perfectly - and beautifully.
