So the image quality isn't the best. it's fair, sometimes looking great and othertimes looking soft. The story is fun and unique. No extras which is a huge down side.

The transfer is decent although the original footage was never that amazing to begin with. The lack of extras is down right unacceptable. After all these years, there are fans around the world keeping the film alive. There should be plenty of extras by now.

I live in dorm and my room is carpeted. Not a large room and I was wondering if it's okay to use this to pick up hair and stuff
If the hair is not embedded in the carpet then yes. This isn't a replacement for full-sized heavy-duty vaccum.
