The campaign isn't much to write home about. The story garnered quite a few exasperated sighs due to it being pretty dang predictable. For a CoD game, it's old enough now that I would expect the server activity to be waning, but as of late April 2015, it's still very easy to find matches via online multiplayer.
Something nice if you want to play a splitscreen shooter with a friend who doesn't own a PS4.

Great range of stuff to do.

This is a wonderful little 3DS game with hours and hours and hours of stuff to do in it. There are tons of options to choose from with your in game life, and you can change your class (what they call Life) whenever you want at a guild building. Great for anyone who wants tons of gameplay options and ways to play.
The main downfall: there is about 10 times more talking in this game than doing stuff. I have literally just sat there for actually 2 minutes at a time just mashing A to get through dialogue that is sometimes cute, but definitely not worth the stop in gameplay. It's pretty bad. Yet I still enjoy it, so that tells you how important the storyline is...

You'll be saying that quite a bit. And while you'll be angry and annoyed and spiteful, you'll keep playing the game. Because it's beautiful and wonderful and great. The online multiplayer makes the game--if you've ever played Dark Souls, it's the same sort of online system and it's the same sort of amazing fun. Instead of souls, you have "blood echoes" and they are the same experience/currency system that From Software has had in place. Very fun game, very challenging. There are a few bugs that I've run into, but nothing game-breaking on my end. I hear that there IS a game-breaking bug that will be fixed via an emergency patch in a week or two, but it seems like it's sort of hard to activate said bug. Still, if you want a more polished experience, wait a little bit longer for patches to come out and especially for the community to figure out what the heck is going on in-game, because From is notorious for not telling anyone anything. It's all on the onus of the community to discuss stuff in forums. I am not strong enough to play through From Software games without consulting the various wikis.
IMPORTANT CAVEAT: If you don't have Playstation Plus or an internet connection, I CANNOT recommend this game. It will turn into a total completely repetitive level grinding fest. I cannot imagine beating some of these bosses without help. My prediction is that it will not be fun, it will just be dying. The difficulty level is ruthless, but I still am in love with this game.

When Nintendo announced these things, I thought, "good grief--jumping on the Skylanders bandwagon." But, oh man, they're so nice just to have as decorations even if you don't use them a whole lot in gaming. The figurines are consistently a great quality, sturdy, and nice looking.
