These DVDs were actually not what I wanted. They do record and play back well.
I asked the sales person for printable DVDs. He said that these are. I got them home, opened the package and found out that what he meant as "printable" was that one could write on them.
I was looking for "Inkjet, printable DVDs", with the white surface on them. Guess that I should have been a little clearer.

This was a replacement for one like it that broke. The "compact-c" plug separated from the cord. After three weeks, the metal piece stayed in the phone when the cord was unplugged.
Hope this one does better. We'll see.
I don't know if I would recommend it, or if it was an issue with just the one cord or not.

Wired connection not working
I bought the Belkin AC750 to replace the N600 - the AC750 wireless component works fine, but none of the 4 wired ports seem to want to connect to the internet (and thus I have to setup the router wireless as well). I have tried the turn off/turn on and matched the set-up items to the N600 that works wired - I took the first AC750 back thinking it was a bad unit, but the second one will not work either. I have been a Belkin supporter from the beginning of my computing, but getting ready to try a different brand if it cannot be solved. I need wired ports as well - the unit has them, why don't they work?
If you didn't reboot the modem, after you hooked up the router, I suggest that you do that and retry setting up the router again. Some modems have a reset button on the back, some you have to unplug power for 30 seconds or so than plug it back in so it'll reboot.
