If you are a fan of the first Sin City movie, you will likely be disappointed by this movie, entertaining at times though it may be. Mickey Rourke as Marv was fun to watch as he was in the first movie, but unlike the first movie, he is pretty much the only reason to watch this one. Joseph Gordon Levitt's character was pretty much worthless, and as good an actor as Josh Brolin is, he is not Clive Owen, and it was a stupid move to try to make him look like Clive Owen as Dwight. The All-State man, Dennis Haysbert, was an amusing choice to replace Michael Clarke Duncun as Manute---he did well---at least that's my stand are you in good...never mind. Ray Liotta and Christopher Lloyd---great actors---but poorly used. Also, if you found it annoying that pretty much all the women in the first movie were used as objects, don't expect that to change in this movie---it's even worse. Lastly the development of Jessica Alba's character, Nancy, at the end of the film didn't really make sense. How is she suddenly able to do what she does? Anyway, if you liked the first Sin City, have free night and a free way to watch this film, you might get a kick out of it, but it is certainly not "A Film to Kill For."
