Not as good as Dilla Donuts but cool to have. There won't be another JD, EVER. I feel like his mom is getting to the bottom of the barrel with his unreleased material. This one has a few bangers on it but it's inconsistent. I will remain a loyal fan and will support these releases until there aren't any more. Really neat packaging. Thanks Best Buy for stocking this right beside Jay Z. Underground lives on!

I have every one of QT's soundtrack albums. My argument against this entry is that there's too many variations of the same pieces of music throughout this one. I remember sharing with friends how strongly I felt this sdtk was the best QT has assembled since Death Proof. I was looking for the lost pieces from THE THING on here but didn't get them. What I did get was some extended and/or dialogue snips that I really enjoyed. So when you buy the movie on Blu-ray (when it's released), have a movie night with friends and play the soundtrack quietly as your mates arrive to help set the tone. Just an idea. I do this kinda stuff all the time.

Fierce but Flawed

I've been a Spike Lee fan since his debut. He's an accomplished filmmaker who hasn't lost any of his edge nor creativity. Chi-raq is very imaginative and SHOULD rank highly with films like Black Orpheus if only it weren't so flawed. Spike was never a subtle filmmaker and this film could use a few pumps of the brakes. I have a theory about him: every 4th (or so) film is really good. Chi-raq doesn't fit the equation exactly. Too much of this, too little of that. Was hoping the opening song would be worth an Oscar nom. It's worth seeing for it's raw power and social commentary.

If I hadn't seen Gravity and Interstellar before this, I may have had a different experience with Martian. I still can't see what the fuss was about with all the Oscar nominations. It's good to fair if that. Kinda left me looking to the stars for something else out there.

Must admit I was surprised to find this title on the shelf. Premier hasn't lost a step. His production is spot on and still contains his signature sound after all these years. Royce--big up to the 313. One of the dopest emcees out there that most people don't know. I grew up on stuff like this and have no interest in what they're calling hip hop these days. Wish there were more tracks and a behind the scenes dvd in the studio with these 2 giants would've been nice. Let's hope they put out more music in the future.

Huge fan of 1st two films and along comes FURY ROAD. Saw it at the drive in and boy, was that an experience. Love all the practical stunt work and the all out assault on this viewer's senses. The combo pack comes with everything you could ever want. Moderately priced.

Not your average biopic

Missed this film during its theatrical run but kept it on my radar. Netflix doesn't have it. Used video stores priced it too high. Looked thru the sale bin at best buy & there it was for $5. Great price for a new blu ray. The ultraviolet download expired but I'm not a fan of watching movies that way.
