The story of a loving father who dons a clown outfit and makeup to perform at his son's sixth birthday, only to later discover that the costume - red nose and wig included- will not come off and his own personality changing in a horrific fashion. Unlike other horror films, Clown is really unique of it's concept of body horror. I have a lot to say about it since i watched it last night. This used to be a faux trailer saying that Eli Roth produced it but production got underway after that. The movie had it's fair share of scares, gore and grotesque scenes. The Chuck-E-Cheese scene from the film really gave me serious goosebumps and got me hooked even more. The case of the dvd creeped out my mother after i bought it from Bullmoose. To me, Clown looks like an original yet disturbing horror flick.

Maniac Cop 3 is the least best in the whole trilogy! It has some really awesome action scenes and some funny one-liners from the murderer that Matt Cordell becomes friends with. The car chase mid-way through the movie was awesome and well thought out. Robert Z'dar gives an awesome and well played performance in his second go 'round as the Maniac Cop. If you're into action movies with a little bit of horror, then be sure to give this one a look!

This is a classic Sylvester Stallone action movie. It's one of the best he ever made. Cobra was mostly known for the number of people killed during the movie. It far exceeded any previous record for an action movie...bordering on the comical. Some of the things you'll remember... The match he keeps in his mouth. His awesome gun. His Mercury which is painfully destroyed during the movie. And the most memorable moment is when he meets up with "Night Slasher" (Brian Thompson) at the end and gets an earful about the judicial system. "They'll say I'm insane. Won't they...PIG!?" If ever there was a classic piece of film it's this encounter. Me and my friends still joke today about how spittle and sweat comes from his mouth when he says, "PIG!". It's hilarious. That alone is worth owning this movie. In all, it's typical of 80's action films. Sylvester's films always seem to have a fair amount of cheese in them. It's a given. At the same time tho, they don't make films like this anymore. The days of the action hero seem over, but they can be relived with movies like Cobra.

The Ruins is a truly disturbing film that will not appeal to everyone. Especially the squeamish. Be warned. The unrated version is even more graphic than the theatrical version. A group of young folks take a trip into the remote jungle of Mexico to check out ancient ruins. Once there the nightmare quickly begins and doesn't let up. I will only tell you this is not what you would be expecting on your standard tourist excursion and after one viewing, you'll think twice before you set out on an adventure to ancient Mexico. Visually unsettling in every way, The Ruins is not for those who freak out easily. I can watch just about anything but at the end of the film, I was mentally drained.

Just when I think Poe has sung his last swan song, he pops up again in another original and funny movie. Jack Black is so PERFECT in his portrayal of the unlikely hero who continues to learn what it means to be the 'Dragon Warrior' and its not what it was cracked up to be. He finally meets his father and travels with him to a hidden mountainous village where all the pandas went when baby Poe was left in the vegetable cart munching radishes. In true villainous form, the bad guy tracks Poe to this village where he intends to slaughter him and everyone with him. Although this is a child's movie, it had plenty of laugh-out-loud moments for me and I love seeing the wonderful animation and backgrounds that are so beautifully done. Your kids will love it and (surprise!) you might, too!

I wasn't entirely sure how I would feel about this movie, but since I had a free promo code, I figured I would get it! I am not typically a fan of Jack Black but I had heard good things about this movie. This movie was hilarious! As I said before, I had no expectations for it, so that most likely helped. It was a great comedy mixed with emotion and action, playing to all ages. Jack Black is the perfect actor to play Po. Po is a character that everyone can relate to as he laughs at himself, has misadventures, and dreams of what he wants. The character is actually developed very well, something that cannot be said about a lot of movies. I also really like the other two main characters played by Dustin Hoffman and Ian McShane as the other good and bad guys. I really like the landscaping and visual effects of this movie. The settings in China are so beautiful with the mountains and bodies of water.
